Overview

LMI is seeking a User Experience (UX) Researcher to develop and implement a strategic UX Research roadmap for a Veterans Affairs client.We believe that while good design makes for a good product, human-centered design makes for an excellent one. In this role, you will guide government clients through design thinking processes, incorporating human-centered and design thinking methods to solve end-to-end digital employee experience challenges.At LMI, we're reimagining the path from insight to outcome at The New Speed of Possible. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:Identify, evaluate, and implement new systems and solutions, or identify enhancements to existing systems; define requirements and specifications.

Lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization, concept development, epic and feature creation, and user story writing to support development and deployment as a business analyst subject matter expert.Help ensure that customization, and/or integration aligns with overall architecture, systems, and human centered design (HCD) best practices.Facilitate the gathering of business-focused requirements to support product development teams, including defining the backlog and ensuring the user's perspective is considered.Work with users to determine the operational objectives of business needs and elicit requirements.Synthesize research and data and craft compelling stories to communicate insights that will shape service and technology innovations.Communicate with government stakeholders and decision-makers in compelling ways using a variety of visual mediums.Focus on requirements related to improved usability, user experience, and user adoption and engagement.Design and execute quantitative and qualitative research projects from inception to completionConduct user interviews and stakeholder engagementProduce research artifacts including personas, task analysis, paint point documentation, workflows, and journey/service blueprints

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, or other related field(s) or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience in UX Research fieldSpecializes in multiple quantitative and qualitative UX research methodsMust pass National Agency Check Background Screening to support government clientAbility to collaborate and work across teams is a mustSuperb interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skillsEntrepreneurial spirit, independent and self-motivated, and results-orientedDesired Qualifications:Completed or Pursuing M.A/M.S./Ph.D. in Human Factors, Social Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Product Design, or other fieldPrevious experience within the government contracting spaceStrong leadership in the integration of user research into product designs and design practicesStrong statistical analysis and experimental design skillsExpert understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development processStrong demonstration of driving impact through research
