HPG's award-winning Marketing team serves as an internal creative agency for all brands, creating stellar content to inspire customers and drive leads to the Sales team.

Walnut Creek, CA , the

Community Marketing Manager

reports to the Creative Director. The Creative department is a fast-paced environment where this person will collaborate with creatives to harness their talent and develop their skills with a strong focus on short-form video production.

HPG launches 200+ new products every year ranging from Bluetooth headphones to ballpoint pens, luggage to tote bags, wine glasses to mugs, lip balm to lapel pins. Every product has a story to tell and video is the best medium to capture it. HPG also needs to show its human side. Being on camera to share content from events, interviewing leaders on the team, training the Sales team on how to raise their online profiles, and DM'ing industry influencers for collaborations, are all ways to do exactly that.

We also need this hire to track and report on key performance indicators such as follower growth and content engagement to show the community is growing and appreciates what we are sharing.

This hire will have access to studio equipment, videographers, and a travel budget. They will be part of a talented, friendly team willing and able to help create regular, engaging content. On-camera recording and posting videos to serve a variety of needs:

Product explainer/demo videosBrand storytellingHype videos for new products, servicesCorporate video interviews e.g. staff onboarding videosHosting livestream events

Online networking with HPG's Sales team, HPG customers, and industry influencersHosting livestream events in partnership with customersAttending at least 3 key industry events to capture content on-siteAttending HPG internal events across North America to show HPG is a great place to workPosting and responding in industry online communities such as Facebook GroupsMonitor account inboxes and direct customer inquiries to the right people at HPGTracking and reporting KPIs such as follower growth, engagement, commentsPerform other tasks as directed by ManagementRequirements

Education and Experience:

or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the key responsibilities of the job.

Bachelor's Degree in Media Studies, Video Production, Film, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experienceProven experience posting creative, on-camera videos regularly to social media accountsHigh skill level with editing in Instagram, TikTok, VideoLeap (or similar social media editing tools) bonus points for Adobe After Effects, Adobe PremiereFamiliarity with or willingness to learn how to get the most out of Hootsuite to schedule content and analyze resultsStrong organizational and communication skillsAn impeccable eye for editing details and design aestheticsProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

This is a full-time position with a hybrid office/home schedule. Days and hours of work are typically Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Scheduling flexibility is required to accommodate workload. Travel may be required periodically.
