Responsibilities include the planning, development, and execution of public relations campaigns with sharp focuses on press relations, content creation (press releases, blogs and social media) and editing. This role will help ensure voice, brand and messaging consistency across all projects and campaigns worldwide, working with internal clients and representatives from our member companies. Other responsibilities may include coordination of press activities at events, tracking press coverage and communications metrics, and website support.This is a full-time, exempt position and reports to the Director of Marketing Communications at the SEMI HQ Milpitas office.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Support the development and implementation of marketing communication campaigns, including strategy and objectives, copy writing, project management, review and editing, distribution and measurement.Oversee proactive and reactive press outreach to semiconductor industry trade press and partner with the Director of Marketing Communications on outreach program to top tier business press.Maintain a consistent voice for corporate social media channels and create content in support of campaigns; partner with regional marketing teams and provide guidance to maximize the visibility of content.Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams (including creative, product marketing, digital marketing, product and event managers, and executive leadership) to produce strategic and effective marketing communications products and campaigns.Support development of messages, talking points, and briefs for internal staff and executives.Develop and manage project timelines and schedules.Communicate brand and support brand management with internal stakeholders.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:You create, communicate and deliver marketing content that has value for our members, customers and the industry at large.You raise awareness of SEMI products, events, and services and support lead generation.You are a valued team member to regional marketers and product/event stakeholders by contributing quality content, service and support.You contribute to a positive perception of Corporate Marketing – internal and external customers are pleased with our results.You can navigate between internal (staff) and external (customer) needs and wants to convey messages in a clear and effective manner.CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:Ability to digest, analyze and synthesize content into compelling and well-written copy and messages, including some complex technical content.Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.Ability to create and implement a social media program tailored to organizational requirements.Confident communicator – convey messages clearly and effectively.Relationship builder (both internal and external with press and member company contacts).Excellent organizational and planning skills.Strong project management and time management skills.Creativity and ability to lead projects independently and with collaboration from stakeholders.Great problem-solving skills.Self-motivated and positive.Willingness to travel 10-20%.FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE:5+ years of experience in public relations and/or communications (preferably within the electronics manufacturing industry in general and the semiconductor industry specifically).B.S./B.A. or advanced degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related fields.A solid understanding of contemporary marketing communications practices and trends, in particular digital and social media.Familiarity with inbound marketing and content marketing concepts and strategies.Expertise with Microsoft Office; experience with marketing automation tools (i.e. Cision, and Sprout Social) is a plus.Basic design skills and competency for website and social media graphics.Experience with event marketing (in particular attendee acquisition) is a plus.Excels working in a global organization with diverse geographies/regions and cultures.ABOUT SEMISEMI is the global industry association connecting over 3,000 member companies and 1.5 million professionals worldwide across the semiconductor and electronics design and manufacturing supply chain.
