Technical Designer , you will have the opportunity to collaborate and grow with talented designers shaping the future of our built environments. Working on a wide variety of project types including workspace, commercial office buildings and repositioning, and a growing practice in education and healthcare. You will work on all phases of design, crafting concepts and coordinating our designs from construction documentation to construction administration. You are passionate about design, are interested in the details and have an appreciation for the nuances of furniture and finishes.Our San Jose office has a thriving interiors practice providing innovative solutions. Your work ethic, combined with your commitment to collaboration and mentoring, makes Gensler the perfect place to nurture your career.What You Will DoParticipate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administrationCollaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectivesProduce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawingsUtilize hand rendering techniques to communicate design conceptsWork in a synergistic manner with other design and professional staffContribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programsYour QualificationsBachelor's degree in interior design or architecture5-10 years of related project experience or internship experience at a commercial interior design or architecture firmProficiency in Revit requiredProficiency in modeling using 2D/3D software, such as CAD, Enscape, 3ds MAX, Sketch-up and/or Rhino utilizing V-Ray a plus.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirementsEnrolled in IDP Program (NCARB or NCIDQ) and in-process for state licensureLEED Accredited Professional or in processAbility to work in person in the office 4-5 days a weekAbility to keep up in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively and have the ability to take direction from senior designers/architects.Clear verbal communication abilities and are detail-oriented.Possess a visual communication style and are able to think and visualize in three dimensions.**The base salary will be estimated between $80,000 - $105,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.Life at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
