Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.Who you are:You are a team player, comfortable working on multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors.You are a creative thinker with a knack for translating clients’ vision into tangible, meaningful deliverables.You are exceptionally organized, with an almost obsessive attention to details.You are diplomatic and compassionate, capable of deftly balancing and meeting client, community, and internal team needs.You have a commitment to and experience with advancing equity.You are highly driven, with the ability to manage several tasks, small teams, and deadlines.You enjoy contributing to high-performance teams and have a habit of filling whatever role needed to get the job done.You are a self-starter who thrives and adapts in fast-paced environments.You bring integrity to everything you do, holding yourself accountable to excellent and responsible work.Primary responsibilities include:Working with HDR clients and project managers to strategize and support stakeholder and public outreach and engagement strategy for projects.Helping HDR project teams identify and manage public relations.Writing or editing copy for communication pieces including talking points, media releases, social media, project materials, and video scripts.Coordinating formal and informal public meetings, hearings, open houses, workshops, advisory committees, or other stakeholder meetings.Leading the development of project-specific outreach tools including messaging content, databases, and schedules.Leading production and distribution of outreach materials such as newsletters, websites, handouts, presentations, advertisements, door hangers, press releases, and mailings.Leading organization and then assisting with meeting logistics and vendor management.Collaborating with creative writers and the visual communications team.Developing social media strategies, including targeted ad campaigns.Leading the identification of stakeholders and managing the development of distribution lists.Supporting comment and contact entry and management in an online database.Managing external service providers including sub-consultants, court reporters, videographers, etc.Traveling to project locations (including some overnight travel).Performing other duties as needed.Preferred Qualifications4+ years related experience in communications, government relations, or relevant field.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or relevant field.Familiarity with the urban planning or environmental consulting industry.Experience working with public agencies.Required QualificationsA minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience.Experience leading social media campaigns.Service- and client-oriented personality with the ability to handle multiple assignments at a time and set and meet deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.What We Believe
