Principal Product Designer

who will dig into the details and help define and deliver a world-class product experience for our customer base that grows the scale, effectiveness, and success of our business.

What you’ll do

Fight for the users–be a staunch advocate for our users and evangelize user experience throughout the organization.

Conduct UX research and usability tests with customers and share findings with stakeholders.

Partner with Product peers to contribute to overall strategy and decision-making about product direction.

Help deliver clear storytelling around customer needs and business opportunities.

Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and design peers.

Create, collaborate, and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.

Design and ship high-quality features and product improvements.

Be a mentor and provide thoughtful feedback to your peers (and benefit from strong personal and professional mentorship opportunities yourself!)

What we need from you

10+ years working in the design industry with a strong portfolio showcasing your research process and design work.

3+ years of working in a product-led organization.

3+ years of providing design direction and mentoring to junior colleagues.

Proficiency with design software such as Figma, research tools, and prototyping tools.

Curiosity about the way people think and human behavior.

Excellent communication skills with a proven track record presenting designs to cross-functional teams and evangelizing UX to the organization.

Strategic thinker. Understands business objectives and converts them into clear product plans, follows through with execution.

Familiarity with iOS/Android design standards and passion for interaction design.

Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to achieve impactful outcomes in an agile product development environment.

Collaborates with Design and Product Management to drive assignment, conception, and delivery of all team-level design initiatives for themselves and their teammates.

Comfortable leveraging data to guide design decisions that exceed product and user outcomes.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in graphic design, HCI, UX, a related area of study, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to haves

Enterprise software, commercial real estate, real estate technology or FinTech experience.

Demonstrated success coaching and leading a team(s) in a rapidly growing and iterative culture.

A passion for analytics, key metric definition and their tracking - to drive design decisions.

Salary: $185,000 - $300,000 annually

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $185,000 to $300,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held.
