supporting a client with U.S. Department of Energy.

Please double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.The Graphic Designer helps communicate the office's mission, activities, and goals externally and internally. Using a variety of tactics and strategies, this person will help convey the science behind the office's research and elevate the awareness of the office's activities to stakeholders, the general public, and Energy Department leadership. This person will support the design and development of internal and external graphics to support our DOE client while ensuring that all materials align with DOE specifications. To be successful in this role, you should be fluent in Adobe Suite and be able to turn creative ideas into compelling visual storytelling.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize, design, and produce captivating graphics for a wide range of marketing materials, including but not limited to website banners, social media posts, email campaigns, brochures, flyers, advertisements, and presentations.Ensure consistency and adherence to the client's visual standards across all design projects.Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.Assist in the development of successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution.Ensure all design deliverables are completed within established timelines and project deadlines.Collaborate with the web development team to create visually appealing and user-friendly web designs, adhering to responsive design principles.Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas and creative concepts to support marketing campaigns and initiatives.Prepare and present design briefs, explaining the rationale behind design choices and incorporating feedback from stakeholders.Work with external vendors and printers to oversee the production process of printed materials, ensuring the final output meets quality standards.Coordinate with DOE Public Affairs and EERE leadership to follow processes and protocols for the public release of reports and information, consistent with Agency priorities and EERE Standards.Respond to requests for messaging on a variety of topics.

Required Experience & Skills

Four (4) years' experience. Master's Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.Advanced graphic design experience using the Adobe Suite (Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, etc.).Experience in creating digital marketing collateral, website banners, print collateral, executing marketing & communications campaigns, and event marketing.Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as high attention to detail.Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).Excellent communication & presentation skills.High level of creativity and problem-solving.A sense of aesthetics and a passion for graphic design and creativity.

Preferred Experience & Skills

Energy industry knowledge a plus.

Required Education

Minimum Education: B.S. or B.A. in appropriate field.
