Use your voice and vision to tell stories that will help change the conversation around healthcare in America at an organization committed to advancing DEIB (and is actually taking steps to change behavior and culture).Work fully remote in a high-impact, high-visibility role at a mission-driven organization infused by a gold rush of Mackenzie Scott money that gives a personal health and wellness day every month and an annual company-wide wellness week (in addition to PTO).Play a strategic role in identifying, capturing, and amplifying the voices, stories, and experiences of this company’s state and national partners, as well as health justice and racial equity advocates and communities nationwide.About the Organization For over two decades, this nationally renowned organization has provided leadership and support to consumer organizations, policymakers, and foundations, working to ensure that America’s healthcare system serves everyone – especially historically marginalized communities. Selected by MacKenzie Scott to receive a generous one-time gift of $25 million, this healthcare advocacy organization is now poised for significant growth and rebranding in 2023.Position Overview They’re looking for an advocacy-focused visual storyteller to conceptualize and produce digital content in a range of media and bring to life this company’s work centered on race equity and health justice. As Director of Content and Storytelling, you’ll change the conversations around healthcare through the lens of race equity. You will set content strategy, produce channel-specific content, and support organizational growth across various campaigns as a builder, creative partner, and digital storyteller. You’ll spearhead content creation that translates strategic priorities, accomplishments, and messaging into compelling big-picture storylines and editorial features that advance brand reputation and perceptions with their target audiences.Qualifications Working on healthcare, advocacy, and racial equity issues is extremely important to you. You’re all about creating and transforming conversations around race equity. It’s okay if you haven’t worked in healthcare advocacy, but you must be open to engaging in the conversation around healthcare in a big way. Perhaps you’re doing this right now on TikTok or Twitter. Regardless, you’re a self-starter with a demonstrated track record of creating compelling, mission-driven content with racial orientation being top of mind. Plus, you’re adept at crafting compelling content for different audiences, and you are highly effective in building trust and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Attention to detail and an uncanny ability to elevate the voices, stories, culture, and priorities of diverse stakeholders are a must. Plus, you have a keen sense of judgment, you’re quickly able to identify relevant and trending topics ahead of the curve, and you have the sharp journalistic skills needed to weave meaningful stories into strategic dissemination and ultimately, action.Why Join Us?
