You may have read a prior version of this job description. We encourage you to read an updated description below. Please do not apply if you do not have the key requirements, we certainly don’t want to waste your time nor ours.

All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.Vice President of Marketing, CityScapes Inc.

The Opportunity:

Accelerate the growth of an innovative design and manufacturing firm whose focus is to create and deliver the highest quality products in its field. The company’s successes have come largely through traditional B2B marketing efforts and it is time to modernize this function. Elevate marketing to be an equal driver of growth in collaboration with other commercial functions.

The Company:

CityScapes has been an innovator and market leader for more than 35 years. Offering a broad portfolio of solutions, the company focuses on enhancing and securing public and non-public spaces in commercial, industrial, and residential development projects. It has experienced healthy growth over the past few years and we seek to smartly accelerate it.

The Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Vice President of Marketing who can proficiently juggle both the nuances of content creation and the broader spectrum of marketing disciplines. This role, while emphasizing content creation, will also focus on overall marketing strategies, branding, campaign development, and the effective use of various marketing tools and platforms to drive awareness and sales. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in delivering and overseeing our brand narrative and visual aesthetics while harnessing the full potential of modern marketing techniques to propel our companies forward.

As the marketing leader, your role is to modernize the marketing function while collaborating and partnering with other commercial teams, such as product, sales, and project management. You must be a player/coach, not simply a “leader” by PowerPoint. You will need to roll your sleeves up and work alongside the team, as you support their development and work towards exceeding goals. You will need to engage with company leaders, specifically, our visionary CEO, to ensure constant alignment in the development and delivery of marketing efforts.

You:

You are curious, love the balance between creative and analytics, and listen before you share your thoughts. You are open to new ideas as well as open to adjusting your own- you embrace the belief that “with new info I am obliged to evaluate my position.” You love challenges and are passionate about bringing change. You are customer-centric in thought, word, and deed. You are a superb communicator in that you listen as well as express your thoughts. You believe in a team approach and value collaboration with diverse viewpoints. You can respectfully – when needed – go toe to toe with fellow leaders to defend your data-supported views. You crave measurement as it helps forge the path to improvement, not something to hide from nor bury from colleagues. You have no ego at the office- the best idea wins, regardless of where it came from. You believe in the democratization of information companywide. You empower your people to make decisions and give them the support and training necessary to be successful. You believe that losses are on you, wins are due to the team. You are a 360-degree marketer, knowing the time and place for all methods, not simply running the same play over and over again.

Applicant Requirements:

15+ years in marketing roles demonstrating growth in responsibility and roles.

Demonstrable successes in transitioning a company towards a digital marketing platform such as HubSpot or Marketo.

Experience working successfully with strong-willed leaders.

Background in a manufacturing company or industrial products firm is a plus, but not required.

Strong leadership skills are required, extending beyond the marketing department.

Demonstrated skills in visual communications, campaign management, and digital marketing.

Must possess a strategic mindset and be able to develop both short-term and long-term marketing initiatives for the continued success of the company.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness of the company, the products, and its capabilities that lead to increasing sales.

Spearhead the company’s content creation and marketing strategies, forging alignment with organizational goals and brand value.

Build relationships with media, external agencies, partners, and stakeholders. Prioritize marketing initiatives with senior leadership guidance and allocate resources accordingly.

Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to produce the necessary elements required for product launches and extensions.

Create and manage diverse content (images, video, written) across various marketing platforms.

Develop metrics to track the success of marketing campaigns, including trade show participation, advertising programs, educational awareness programs, and website lead analysis.

Conduct related market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth and expansion of our product line and sales channels.

Remain relevant to industry trends and innovations, while incorporating best practices into the company’s marketing strategies.

Prepare regular reports and marketing updates for review by senior leadership and CEO level.
