Position: Senior Revit BIM DesignerWe are seeking a Senior Revit BIM Designer that has experience managing BIM Models and BIM processes used in project designs. The candidate must have a strong understanding of how a BIM project evolves from concept through construction and how the different discipline designs interact throughout the life cycle of the project. This individual will be expected to work with designers, engineers, architects, project managers, and business/operation leadership. The candidate must have excellent leadership and communication skills. They will be expected to effectively interact with clients, both internal and external. Some travel will be required.

Responsibilities:Develop and oversee the production of the project BIM model to meet the required BIM Uses including design document production.Independently create and oversee development of the model under broad direction from the project team or Project Manager.Complete projects with distinctive design features and requirements.Train and mentor internal BIM staff.Direct preparation of drawings by other BIM Technicians of lesser experience, or directly supervise BIM staff as needed.Work with clients or contractor representatives using the BIM model for review purposes.Understand various project needs and how technology can be applied to address those needs.Prepare and deliver BIM presentations at meetings and conferences internally or externally to clients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.A minimum of 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) and 5 years digital delivery (model management) experience.Comprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems.Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure.Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools.Advanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication tools.Familiar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications.Familiar with basic automation and programming applications for efficiencies.Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications.Familiar with content creation and management concepts.Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential.Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support.Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and leadership traits are essential.Must have strong organizational skills to establish priorities between technical support requests and project work.Must be enthusiastic, energetic, and possess an excellent work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years architectural drafting experience on buildings/facilities.Managed BIM Models and BIM processes on large projects.Direct experience working with multi-discipline project production teams.Experience on facilities and Site Civil design projects.Extensive knowledge of BIM, multi-discipline design development, construction documents, technical and engineering knowledge.Ability to prepare drawings and details.Strong computer skills using Revit and Navisworks.Experience in Microsoft Office and Outlook.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.Experience using Micro Station is desired but not required.Preference given to local candidates.
