The Packaging Design and Development Manager will oversee the design, development, and management of all brand packagingWill lead and oversee the packaging design process, from conceptualization to final productionEnsuring that packaging aligns with our brand identity and enhances the overall customer experience is a critical function of this roleThis role drives planning and inventory management, and securing the necessary resources for seamless production and product offeringsDevelops and implements a packaging design strategy that aligns with the company’s overall branding and marketing objectivesCollaborates with product development, marketing, and sales teams to understand product requirements and target audience preferencesLeads the design and creates innovative and visually compelling packaging concepts for current product portfolio and new product launchesEnsures that the packaging design not only meets aesthetic standards but also considers compliance regulations, practicality, safety, and sustainabilitySources and evaluates packaging materials to meet quality, costs, and sustainability criteriaCollaborates with suppliers and manufacturers to establish packaging specificationsWorks with the quality control team to conduct tests on packaging materials and designs to ensure they meet performance and safety standardsManages the entire packaging design process, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocationCoordinates with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely execution of packaging projectsCollaborates with procurement and finance teams to optimize packaging costs without compromising quality and design integrityReviews and adjusts packaging inventory levels and production schedules to maintain product availabilityDevelops procurement strategies that are cost-effectiveSources and engages reliable suppliers and vendorsNegotiates with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous termsReviews purchase orders and organizes the delivery of goodsManages the efficient flow of packaging to ensure optimum productionOther duties as assignedLeverages partnerships and distributor relationships to meet business objectivesDevelops demand forecasts for products to support initiatives; includes assumptions and risksExercises discretionary authorityAnalyzes and evaluates information accurately and expresses ideas clearly when providing oral and written reports or recommendations on administrative, financial, and technical issuesEstablishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, management, and vendorsBenefits
