Job Description

The Pricing Analyst will be a key contributor to the Revenue Growth Management team. Responsibilities include creating pricing models, applying analytical rigor to pricing decisions, assuring overall data integrity, and providing insights to business leaders. Motivated self-starter with a passion for diving deep into data to identify trends and draw conclusions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:40% Own pricing analytics. Lead the collection of pricing data, create frameworks for pricing decisions, and identify opportunities to optimize sales. Apply advanced statistical and analytic techniques to large amounts of data with the goal of driving business decisions and providing the primary input in evolving the company's pricing strategies.25% Develop multivariable statistical pricing models, consumer price elasticity analyses, and measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies and promotions. Incorporate competitive pricing data into decision criteria to identify pricing gaps and opportunities; perform comparisons to industry/company benchmarks. Insure consistent pricing strategy, structure, trade rates and price points.15% Research and maintain market knowledge to be aware of cost driver fluctuations and competitive movements affecting pricing. Review abnormal margins to ensure their accuracy and process pricing corrections as needed.10% Work cross-functionally with internal customers in Marketing, Sales, Finance and Insights to provide guidance and alignment on pricing strategies, new products, and promotional activities.10% Accurately produce pricing reports on a routine basis, as well as completing frequent ad hoc analyses.

EDUCATION:

Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Methods, Finance, Business, related fields, or equivalent years' experience. College degree in Finance or Operations.

EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years in a financial analysis, pricing analysis, or other highly analytical role. Knowledge of budgeting, financial statements and accounting preferred. Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience and knowledge of Nielsen / IRI data an asset

Qualifications

SPECIFICATIONS:

*Knowledge: Familiar with one or more analysis tools such as SAS, Python, R, or Matlab, SQL knowledge preferred

*Skills: Superior Excel skills required, including the ability to manipulate large sets of data. Result driven. Strong communication skills with ability to explain complicated scenarios to others. Strong financial acumen, ability to understand and develop business cases, understand cost/benefit models
