Job Description:The nature of the work is focused on research and development of products from conception to retail to meet the needs of accounts and consumers.

Ideation & Visioning

Generates new ways of thinking about aspects of performance-based products that result in growth opportunities and competitive advantages in the marketplace.Develops ideas that are consistent with the vision for new products by collaborating with product creation on the genesis of new product concepts for all Nike business units.

Research/Engineering

Defines protocol and establishes scope of testing required to prove and validate a concept.In line with advanced knowledge of the consumer, business, and performance requirements, develops concrete insights which feed into the development of advanced product concepts through the use of new technologies or construction processes.Delivers proof of concept by turning concepts and new product visions into reality. Identifies key elements of product construction materials and processes. Engineers prototypes.

Project Management

Leads innovation projects turning concept ideation into reality by working in, or with, multi-disciplinary teams to include product creation, manufacturing, and 3rd party vendors.Meets complex challenges with imaginative state of the art approaches supported by feasible solutions.

Communication

Synthesis reports and creates final documentation to inform and educate internal stakeholders regarding new innovations.Is recognized externally as an industry expert.Clearly and concisely communicates the knowledge required and best practices to assist transition of technology to product.

Required Qualifications:

This is a Graphic Design Position - Expert Level8+ years' experience of graphic design, preferably in Apparel product creation or in an agencyPassion and understanding of current and emerging design trends, as well as visual culture.bility to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives.Strong Adobe CC skills (Illustrator & Photoshop) and comfortable working within new digital spaces.Passion for design craft, innovation, graphic applications, prints, processes and tools.Strong illustration, typography, brand identity, and color theory skills.Knowledge of repeat pattern creation, printing techniques specific to textiles, understanding how designs will translate from digital to physicalKnowledge of apparel product creation and basic knowledge of garment constructionPositive personality and energy.bility and passion to lead, mentor and onboard Design teammates
