The Marketing & Development Manager supports the Senior Administration team to plan and execute marketing and development strategies. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Marketing and Development Manager will support development initiatives and other marketing projects to provide the highest level of service, attention, and recognition to PYD’s top donors. The Marketing and Development Manager will act as the day-to-day lead for social media content, calendar manager and post creation, including planning and scheduling content. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team player and excellent communicator with excellent skills creating, developing, writing, and reporting in various forms of communication, including donor cultivation, donor campaigns, marketing and social media campaigns, and special events. Through their work, this professional will assist to drive revenue growth to meet the operational budget targets both annually and long term.Founded in 1985, PYD serves youth ages six to twenty-six with a broad range of disabilities across Massachusetts, with select programming offered nationally. In addition, PYD increases the inclusivity of workplaces, organizations, and communities across the country through coalition building, innovative programs, and supportive services. Since our founding, PYD has grown from one program serving nine youth to an array of award-winning programs, including

Mentoring, Career Readiness, Youth Leadership Forum, Young Leaders Rising , the

National Disability Mentoring Coalition, LEARN,

and the

National Career Readiness Certification.

We empower more than 500 youth with disabilities each year and have trained more than 15,000 people from over 300 organizations in inclusion best practices.PYD’s programs are community based with headquarters located in Boston, MA. The position is a full- time, hybrid job. Currently, all staff are expected to work in the Boston office two days a week.Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Executive Director, this role will support development efforts, marketing and social media and related content creation for PYD.In coordination with other PYD staff and outside contractors, support maintenance of all social media channels. Act as day-to-day lead for content calendar management and post creation, including planning and scheduling content for all social media channels and the PYD blog.Coordinate, write, and publish the newsletter, blog, social media content, and other promotional collateral.Collaborate with the Outreach Manager to create promotional materials.Assist the Executive Director in coordination and execution of PYD events and marketing campaigns, including Party4PYD, winter appeal, and Golf fundraiser.Attend events to take pictures and videos for social media.Assist the Executive Director in leveraging the deep expertise of program staff, increase external visibility, and diversify funding sources to build a robust funding pipeline.Expand and strengthen external relationships to foster future collaborations, including new business opportunities.Support the planning and management of PYD community and fundraising events, including booking vendors, locations, or other services. Support the Host committees, Board and PYD leadership for these events.Analyze and report on social media performance to help inform new strategies and marketing, providing updates.Oversee organization-wide events calendar to ensure all events are updated promptly.Develop timelines and apply appropriate project management tools to ensure that development campaigns are completed in a timely, efficient, thoughtful, and accurate way.Ensure effective and accurate documentation of relevant funder/donor information and ongoing database management to support development operations.Support PYD’s development operations which may include major gift solicitation, publicrelations, marketing, leading volunteers and committees, and strategic planning.Provides support to the senior management team on any necessary tasks.Manages the development department’s correspondence -- Receives, opens, and routes mails and packages and ensures letters thanking donors are appropriately sent in a timely fashion.Who You Are:

You must be:Legally authorized to work in the U.S.Passionate about working with youth with disabilities and have an unshakable belief in their potential and a strong commitment to the mission of PYD.Available for occasional evening and weekend programming.An excellent writer with the ability to draft different types of materials.A relationship builder who can cultivate champions/ambassadors for PYD’s mission.Able to work both collaboratively as part of a team and independently with excellent project management skills.An innovative creative thinker.Have excellent project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Have very strong computer skills, preferably including Canva, Adobe Photoshop, social media platforms, Microsoft Office Suite including mail merge.Have very strong social media skills, including active and creative TikTok and Instagram account experience.It would also be great if you:Have a bachelor’s degree.Are bilingual skill in ASL, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, or MandarinHave experience with community engagement with motivation and aptitude for networking/outreach.Have experience with marketing including material design, blogging, and social media management.Have experience with data management, including Salesforce, or an equivalent database.What You will Get:
