The position will be responsible for campaign planning, development, and coordination of all marketing programs to generate demand and create sales enablement tools for promotion and sale of products for the Varian Interventional Solutions (IS) business line. This position will be a part of the Product Marketing team, responsible for the creation and execution of marketing activities (i.e.: launches, campaigns, initiatives). You will collaborate with Sales and Product Management team to ensure market success and will lead the business line efforts in content creation and promotion. In addition, this person will be responsible for downstream marketing activities including tradeshow management, campaign development, content creation, digital marketing, and event marketing for the IS business line.Product Messaging:Leads and coordinates marketing activities and brand messagingCollaborate with the product marketing managers to develop and test the value proposition of the products and services as well as ensure consistent product messaging across different marketing channels.Creates content differentiating the company's product to competitor's products and developing key marketing messages applicable to the regional to communicate the value proposition of the Interventional Solutions product linesWorks with sales management to formulate product sales and marketing strategiesCustomer Understanding: Understand customers' needs and behaviors by partnering with the strategic insights team, data analytics, and sales to incorporate the voice of the customer and market dynamics into the programs and campaigns.Down Stream/Go-to-market strategies:Strategize and collaborate with the sales and product management teams to develop compact go-to-market strategies for existing products and services while coming up with new marketing ideas based on the research.Partners with Product Management to ensure the voice of the customer is incorporated to help guide product development, and to ensure value proposition and messaging is consistentPartners with Sales organization to develop Sales Programs and initiatives to promote customer engagement and conversion throughout the yearWorks with Global Sales Training team to identify training needs and opportunities for internal sales team and distributor partnersTradeshow Strategy:Collaborates with MarCom to assist in tradeshow support and executionDevelops and maintains local event strategy and coordinates activities between Sales and Meetings ManagementCoordinates trade show activities, website development, brand awareness and tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions in collaboration with Interventional Solutions Marketing CommunicationsDigital Marketing:Partner with the marketing operations team to nurture leads and engage customers by directing the development and execution of a sound digital marketing strategy based on market and consumer research.Work with the social media team and product managers to create content and place appropriately in social networks. Build relationships with social media influencers in the IR space to increase the company's reach and strength.

Assists in developing the digital marketing strategy for Interventional SolutionsWorks with Product Management to develop social media contentTracks and reports on marketing activity in SalesForce.com and other tracking tools

Budget Management:Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the marketing communications department. Develop an annual marketing budget and keeping track of the resource needs for proper long-term and short-term scheduling. Use results to determine best go forward plan.Required knowledge and skills:The successful candidate must be a versatile marketing and communications professional with a strong strategic mindset and be able to straddle between strategic and tactical requirements of the role. As a leader, the position will be expected to contribute to the product line strategy and play an active role in the company's expansion and new program initiatives.Bachelors Degree or equivalent. MBA a plus.Must have 7+ years of relevant experienceAbility to travel at least 25% of the timeProven stakeholder management capabilities with strong experience of working in cross functional environments.Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Agile and resourceful team player, and a tech-savvy marketer who is proficient in marketing technologies and data analysis.Preferred knowledge and skills:Marketing Medical Device and specifically Interventional radiology productsSolid knowledge of web analytics and Google AdWords.Experience with CRM software.#LI-OS1Fighting cancer calls for big ideas.We envision a world without fear of cancer.
