This role is office hybrid and based at our Louisville, Kentucky location.

What the Role Is

The Marketing Coordinator, supporting the Samson & Surrey brand team, will work closely to support various projects/brand needs. Focus of this position will be on implementation of point of sale and promotion development, marketing design workflow, management of internal program and brand communications, planning & trafficking of social media programs, digital marketing and special events as needed. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the brand team, corporate communications, corporate events, creative services and agency partners to create, manage and grow the brands’ overall sales and profit objectives.

How You Will Spend Your Time?Gain a full understanding of the brands within the brand team portfolio and how they fit with the entire company portfolioAssists in the management of marketing projects related to the execution of brand marketing planExecutes brand/product marketing plans across various brands to deadlines, working in tandem with Brand ManagersLiaises with internal departments and external agencies to ensure full communication and success of marketing projectsContributes to creativity of product packaging, presentation, point-of-sale and promotional activitiesProcess and manages creative projects through internal creative services job management systemSupport of local market activations/events including development, execution, reporting and supporting POS developmentManagement and content development for social media, as well as tracking and reporting of all aspects of online activity, in coordination with digital marketing manager and third-party agencies/designersPeriodically monitors performance of managed brands/products to ensure it meets company objectivesIn partnership with Financial Planning & Analysis provide monthly business updates in terms of brand and category performance as needed or requestedWork closely with Regional Sales Managers to ensure that all brand requirements are provided to field teamsWho You Are…

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, management or related fieldMinimum 1 year of marketing administrative experience required; relevant internship experience is acceptableStrong organizational skills and resourcefulnessAbility to prioritize and juggle multiple competing priorities at onceExcellent written communication skills including the ability to compose all communication such as social network posts, project reports, program recaps, etc.Excellent verbal communication skills and presentation skillsKnowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques and sales control systemsExcellent critical thinking skills…using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problemsAnalytical skills, in particular gathering data from a wide variety of sources, and presenting it in formats suitable for a wide variety of audiencesHigh proficiency using Excel as well as expertise in using software such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google and social media websitesAbility to learn new databases/systems to pull data for analysisAbility to learn quickly and apply learning to tasksAbility to develop and maintain effective work relationships with internal and external contactsCapacity to travel as needed (approximately 10-15% of time)Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:

Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookUnderstanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and SnapchatExperience in a distilled spirits industryPhysical Requirements

While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
