We are seeking a high-performing, proactive, and fun leader to transform our sales and marketing strategy. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the

Director of Sales and Marketing

is a key leader in the organization, responsible for maximizing revenue. As a versatile player-coach, you will manage your own team and collaborate with cross-functional individuals to create powerful customer and employee engagement. Within an entrepreneurial environment, you will work across teams to guide the growth of our organization.

How can we accelerate growth through new school launches and acquisition integration? New ideas, tools, and processes - let's play!What You'll Do:

The following responsibilities will be prioritized based on the current needs of the business:Serve as a " growth champion " by moving comfortably between strategic leadership and detailed execution to advance the objectives of the business.Generate new

customer and employee leads , especially in challenged or new school markets, by honing the marketing mix within budget.Establish a

sales funnel, CRM system, and call center

to optimize inquiry-to-conversion ratios by leveraging technology and data-driven analyses.Actively manage internal and external

brand communications , including public relations, customer service, and employee engagement.Maximize

family and employee retention

by devising strategic initiatives that use key insights and motivate school teams.Leverage existing and emergent

digital tools

to deliver compelling content to families and staff.Lead marketing activities in pre- and post-opening activities for

new schools and acquisitions , working cross-functionally with the Operations, Corporate Development, HR, and Finance teams.Implement informed but aggressive

pricing

to maintain a premium brand appeal while maximizing tuition in a competitive marketplace.Maintain detailed

market intelligence

- including consumer, industry, market, competitive, and government - to help inform organizational growth or product evolution in the face of changing trends, requirements, and regulations.Proactively

manage one (1) direct report

and

hire new team members

based on business imperatives, setting clear expectations and accountability protocols.Other duties as required.What You'll Need to Succeed:

Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.8-10+ years post-undergraduate relevant marketing or sales work experience. Combined sales and marketing experience a plus.Must possess relentless attention to detail for both quantitative data sets and qualitative creative aesthetics.Has managed teams of direct reports with glowing reviews from employees.Motivated, highly organized, and flexible; a self-starter with a teamwork orientation.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); Google Analytics a plus.Excellent time management and oral/written communication skills. May be required to submit a writing sample.Ability to partner with team members and accept and implement feedback.How It All Gets Done:

Role headquartered in Beverly, MA (North Shore of Boston). Massachusetts-based candidates preferred.Ability to work remotely with some travel ( Is able to work at least a full-time, 40-hour per week schedule, sometimes off-hours as the business requires (i.e., evening open houses or travel).Is able to sit for long periods of time at a computer in a primarily sedentary position; manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.Some travel ( If occasionally supporting a classroom, is able to stand on feet for up to 90% of the day, capable of lifting up to 30 pounds, able to sit on the floor and crouch down, and perform all activities with the children including running, jumping, etc.
