For Leeward CC day, evening, or weekends, on- and off-campus as required.Duties and Responsibilities (NOTE: ** denotes Essential Functions)**Under the supervision of the Marketing Officer, researches, drafts and finalizes text for electronic and print materials as assigned, including but not limited to copy for web pages, blogs and marketing collateral for the Wahiawa Value-Added Product Development Center (WVAPDC), the Office of Workforce Development (OWD) and the College.**Creates, develops and manages content for the WVAPDC, OWD and the College online presence, including internal and external digital properties such as websites, social media networks and other electronic alternatives like digital signage. Content includes still images (illustrations, photographs, infographics), animation, audio, video, interactive experiences (forms, chat rooms, polls, questionnaires, etc.).**Designs and produces materials such as promotional collateral, banners, maps, displays, presentations, on-campus signage and way-finding materials.**Performs basic editing of digital video such as trimming clips, adding audio or text, and inserting transitions, and adapting files to various formats for broadcast and web use.**Covers news and events for the WVAPDC, OWD and the College as assigned by the supervisor. Coverage may include photography, videography and written descriptions. Assignments may be on- or off-campus and will be used in publications, displays, marketing collateral electronic media, and for public relations distribution.**Coordinate networking and outreach opportunities with local government, business, education and community partners. This may include meetings and presentations, campus tours, and special events.**Produces press-ready artwork for on-campus duplication or off-campus printing; generates printing specifications and secures printing bids for projects.**Produces completed jobs from concept to delivery on time and within budget with a high degree of creativity.Assist in supervising student employees.**Assignments will include working outside of normally scheduled work hours including day, night, weekend and/or holidays as directed.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a baccalaureate degree in marketing, graphic design, communications, or related field and 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for web content development, writing and editing, public relations and/or graphic design; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.Considerable working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of design and communications, journalism and/or social media marketing as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts, principles and methodologies.Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations associated with marketing, graphic design and communications, and/or social media marketing.Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective, innovative and timely manner.Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas, clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals.Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer, apply word processing software.Demonstrated ability to write effectively in a variety of styles with exceptional proofreading and editing skills.Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar creative tools (such as Canva) dealing with image editing, vector graphics, page layout, video/animation, and web development.Experience in creating accessible digital material that meets ADA compliance.Experience in serving as photographer and preparing images for print, displays and electronic distribution with demonstrated proficiency in digital photography.Experience managing, and creating content for, social media platforms including Instagram, YouTube, Flickr, X, SnapChat, Facebook, etc., for business purposes (not personal).Functional knowledge of WordPress or similar web content management system.Possession of a valid driver's license.Ability to travel independently in a timely and efficient manner to various locations on Oahu.Ability to work outside of normally scheduled work hours including day, night, weekend and/or holidays as directed.Demonstrated ability to lead subordinates, manage work priorities and projects, and manage employee relations.Desirable Qualifications

More than 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for communications, marketing, media campaigns, and/or public relations.Functional knowledge and experience building, maintaining, and managing content for websites.Ability to use DSLR camera to shoot photos and videos, and create and edit finished pieces at professional level of quality.Understanding best practices and the effective use of social media and content creation that keeps up with the latest trends.Ability to create artwork such as drawing and sketches using non-electronic media.Ability to plan, design, create and produce finished displays and exhibits at a professional level of competence.Extensive experience with Macintosh computers and Apple operating systems.Application Submission Click on the “Apply” button on the top right corner of the screen to complete an application and
