CHSN is looking for a team-first, creative
Video Editor
to help in creating industry-leading quality programs, content and live game coverage centered around the Chicago professional sports scene, specifically Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox. The Video Editor position will work under the direction of the department lead and report to the Director, Creative, Post-Production and Promotions to perform all required tasks based on clear goals and timelines.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Creating professional, network-quality, finished highlights, long-form features and short-form video programs for both broadcast and digital distributionCompetency in AVID and Premiere Editing software (knowledge of Avid Interplay and Airspeed systems a plus!)Beginner-level competency in After Effects and Photoshop for required packaging elements for broadcast, multi-media projects and branded content initiativesFacilitating the approval process, including master compressions, QC final output and delivery of digital mastersManaging the organization of assigned projects and related media assets, including video storage, back-up and archivingAbility to handle sound design and audio mixing; color correction as requiredMinimum Qualifications And Requirements
2+ years of experienceProficiency with AVID Media Composer & Adobe PremiereDemonstrate beginner-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects | PhotoshopKnowledge of HD video codecs | formats | broadcast standardsPrevious video editing experience in sportsPossesses strong communication skills, is organized and detail-oriented, and excels under deadlinesSelf-motivated, empowered to work unsupervisedTeam player, willing to collaborate and take direction from producersMust be willing to work weekends, nights and some holidays (schedule built around live sports events hours)The Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) will launch in October across multiple platforms. The network will air more than 300 live Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox games annually and include pre- and postgame coverage while showing multisport programming 24 hours a day. CHSN will broadcast from studios located in both Chicago's United Center and Guaranteed Rate Field. The network will start airing Blackhawks and Bulls preseason games in October, showing White Sox games beginning in 2025.
