The Next Horizon fundraising campaign is furthering FIU's commitment to providing students Worlds Ahead opportunities.Job Information The COB Department of Marketing and Logistics at Florida International University is seeking adjunct lecturers to deliver relevant curriculum to students obtaining a degree, certificate, and/or minor from the Department of Marketing and Logistics at the College of Business, using a variety of teaching methods and demonstrating real-world applications.Job Duties

Develop and manage syllabus materials.Responsible for developing, compiling, and selecting assignments, exercises, projects, quizzes, exams, and other assessments, whether face-to-face or online, that permit measurement of performance relative to standardized learning objectives.Coordinate course materials and curriculum with academic department chair.Review any textbook and other course material changes with the academic department chair and perhaps other full-time faculty teaching the course.Revise and update course content as needed.Facilitate class instruction, discussion sessions, presentations, and other class activities.Teach the assigned class in accordance with learning objectives and session plan outlines specified by the Department of Marketing and Logistics.Maintain records of enrollment and attendance.Meet with the Department Chair as needed to discuss all aspects of the course including student progress and curriculum development.Evaluate student performance.Administer evaluations of student performance based on course deliverables and course rubrics. All course grades will be posted on PantherSoft and/or the Blackboard Grade Center.Encourage students to submit course evaluations, review course evaluations when available, and use feedback to improve course delivery.Be available for student consultation through office hours or scheduled appointment (face-to-face or online) or by phone or email.Adhere to department, college, and university policies.Responsible for participation in any scheduled chat sessions as determined by the course.Prompt feedback/grading on assignments and course completion.Input final grades into FIU PantherSoft system and into the Canvas Grade Center (if applicable).Participate and encourage students to participate in Assurance of Learning evaluations.Submit an annual faculty report using the online system.Please note that this pool is open for the 2023-2024 academic year and is reviewed based on departmental needs. Screening of applications will occur as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.Minimum Qualifications

Primary Instructor:Master's Degree in Marketing or equivalent.Professional Experience in DisciplineSecondary Instructor, Course Assistant and Other Instructional:Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or equivalent.Desired Qualifications
