Job Information The Department of Architecture at Florida International University is seeking adjunct instructors to teach in the lower or upper division design studio sequence of a NAAB accredited Master of Architecture Program. Instructors are expected to hold 2 hours a week of office hours. Design studio instructors teach in coordinated studios with other faculty or individually. Each instructor oversees a studio section of approximately 12-18 students. Instructors meet with students in an open studio at the FIU Paul L. Cejas School of Architecture Building (PCA) or at the FIU Miami Beach Urban Studio (MBUS). Instructors are expected to guide the design work of each student with critiques, sketches, lectures and group reviews.

Please note that this pool is open for the 2023-2024 academic year and is reviewed based on departmental needs. Minimum Qualifications

Primary Instructor:Master's Degree in Architecture or equivalent.

Three to five years of professional or teaching experience.

Secondary Instructor, Course Assistant and Other Instructional:Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent.

Desired Qualifications

License to practice architecture in United States or internationally or Ph.D. in field of architecture, history, theory, or building sciences.

Strong promise of creative achievement in the field.
