The PCB Design Engineer (ECAD) helps to conceptualize and develop groundbreaking Service Provider Routing products. You’ll be focused on Advanced technology PCB design, documentation, and implementation.Project responsibilities include:Work with project team on the build of a major development product (board/package) coordinating with other departments and participating in scheduling (from conception to fabrication)Technical content of design reviewsDesign PCBs of 30+ layers with advance technology (HDI, Fine Pitch Pin Fields, High IO count)Able to interpret and apply Signal Integrity rulesPrepare documents for PCB assembly and fabrication using current release of Cadence Allegro CAD softwareCoordinates with the functional team members and drives issues for successful conclusionsDrives resolution of issues with SI, MCAD and Manufacturing Engineers in developing new boardsAttend cross functional meeting (SI, MCAD, MFG, CM & Fab vendor feedback)Self-inclusion and participation on Best Practice teamAssist cross functional team in preparing test procedures to verify PCB functionsDrive efficiency & process improvement areasReview and recommend improvements to existing and NPI designs.Helps engineers find ways to attack new or difficult problemsWho You'll Work WithYou will be working very closely with HW Engineering, SI/EMC, Product Ops team, Global Supplier Management (GSM), and External Vendors/Suppliers.Who You AreMinimum QualificationsAssociate’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical training in PCB design and electrical drafting7 + years of work experience developing high speed and reliable circuits with complex high layers advanced technology Printed Circuit Boards5 + years of work experience with SI, MCAD, MFG, CM & Fab development and processes5 + years of work experience with Cadence Allegro 17.4 PCB design software5 + years of PCB construction work experiencePreferred QualificationsUnderstanding of PCB layer stack upSolid understanding in all functional related EMC, Safety, SI and DFM, Mechanical design issuesKnowledge of common PCB design rulesExperience with Valor DFM softwareExperience with SKILL Script codingSolid understanding in the complete fabrication/assembly and gerber generationKnowledge in designing for manufacturability guidelinesWhy Cisco?

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
