As a Lead Interior Designer in our firm, you will be part of the team creating designs (from schematic to finished drawings in AutoCAD), providing specifications, finish selections, furnishings, art, and soft goods for implementation. A successful candidate will have common sense, a positive attitude and outstanding time management skills. This position provides an opportunity to work on luxury projects in a creative environment with a proven bespoke team. Candidates PreferredPlease be prepared to share your portfolio of design work to our team.Please apply to PowerHouse Recruiting, Wendy Cohen, CEO.Please do not reach out to our office directly.Responsibilities And DutiesCreating designs from floor plans to furnishing plans.Preparing client presentations, pricing, and proposals.Site measures and as-built documentation.Managing selections for timely implementation.Resolving technical/design issues.Millwork and built-in drawings for design intent.Custom furnishings.Bidding custom work to fabricators.Resourcing furniture, fixtures, fabrics, and finishes.Specification of FF&E for work as required.Scheduling, supervising, tracking, and inspecting deliveries.Updating project budgets.Working and communicating with clients in a professional manner.Coordinating work with trades.Ordering furnishings and materials.Managing client files, keeping computer files organized, up to date, ready for Purchasing and Accounting team members.Working with Contractors/Builders/Tradespeople.Developing a deep understanding of our firm's process, design aesthetic and unique value proposition.Active in continued education with industry products, technologies, and networking.Qualifications And Skills For SuccessMinimum 5+ years full-time experience working in a high-end residential interior design or architecture firm.Proven ability to read and understand design documents and construction drawings.Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction or similar, NCIDQ certified preferred.Computer skills with a solid working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe CS, SketchUp, Acrobat pro, Microsoft Suite/Excel, and Google Docs.Working knowledge of trade resources, furnishings, and fabrics.A strong work ethic with an attention to detail to follow through, and timely turnaround.Strong self-motivation, with the ability to problem solve independently.Highly organized with excellent time management and priority setting skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.A positive attitude, creative spirit, and a team player.This is an In-studio position with world-wide project site visits needed.Has a valid driver's license and access to personal vehicle.Benefits:
