Reporting to our Director of Product Design as an individual contributor, this role involves grasping our business requisites, maneuvering through technical limitations, and choreographing the holistic functional design of our products. The ultimate aim is to ensure an unparalleled user experience and attain a polished design aesthetic.Responsibilities:

Lead the design process collaboratively with product managers, delivering well-considered solutions that cater to both consumer and enterprise needs. These solutions should align with business and product objectives, enrich customer value, and invigorate the entire team.Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow design leads, contributing from the initial idea stage to project execution, across new and ongoing initiatives within the platform.Transform abstract concepts into tangible user journeys, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that culminate in user-friendly and intuitive experiences.Envision and steer the ways in which our customers engage with our product and interact with our brand.Employ a user-centric design methodology, taking the initiative to organize and facilitate user testing sessions, and subsequently conveying the insights gained to the team.Engage in productive collaboration with various stakeholders to gather input and refine your prototypes, thus contributing to the determination and enhancement of features and priorities.Flourish in a cooperative, dynamic, agile environment with rapid development cycles.Guide and mentor members of the design team, imparting knowledge of best practices in front-end development.Undertake strategic decisions regarding design and user experience, influencing the development of core functionalities and innovative features.Demonstrate a penchant for insightful inquiries, calculated risks, and the advocacy of novel concepts.Requirements:

5-10 years of hands-on experience as a Lead UX Designer, Product Designer, or Interaction Designer, or in similar roles.Bachelor’s or higher degree in Human Factors, Interaction Design, CS, or a related field.Understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies.Experience with Design System development, management, and implementation.Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative user research methodologies.Capability to independently steer the design process and execute substantial feature implementations.Strong ownership mindset, coupled with exceptional communication abilities, underscored by a deep commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes.Background in modern web and/or mobile UX design.Profound experience in the realm of Conversational AI and multi-modal user interactions.Mastery-level proficiency in utilizing diverse prototyping and design software tools.Noteworthy portfolio showcasing a rich array of work, demonstrating advanced aptitude in user-centered design thinking and creative problem-solving.Skill in conveying abstract concepts effectively to a diverse array of pivotal stakeholders.Willingness to embrace feedback and constructive critique, fostering a continuous improvement mindset.Compensation & Benefits:The anticipated base salary hiring range for this position is:California: $123,000 base + $128,800 target variableNon-California: $103,300 base + $128,000 target variableThe specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience.In addition to competitive base + variable, pre-IPO stock options, benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with a match, and more, plus generous paid time off, paid holidays, paid day off for your birthday and other paid leave policies to support employees through all phases of life.Uniphore is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
