With a focus on the ongoing development, engagement and wellbeing of our people, we know we will continue to exceed customer expectations and drive change for the future.About the Opportunity:With a focus on regional opportunity creation, the Segment Marketing Manager is responsible for market intelligence, analytics and utilization of a deep understanding of Americas marketing conditions in key marketing segments and scientific applications across all Oxford Instruments business units. This role will analyze market trends, competitors, and audience behavior to help inform marketing plans aligned to business growth objectives. This includes assessing the size of key markets, current visibility to each target segment, opportunity scope, and marketing dynamics.The segment marketing manager is responsible for using multiple data resources to identify target accounts and develop contact lists which are used for targeted demand generation campaigns, regional sales territory mapping and regional sales prospecting within target industries/segments. The candidate must be able to conduct market analytics research, create campaign targeting lists, and develop corresponding strategic recommendations in line with business objectives and KPI targets. Additionally, the Segment Marketing Manager will have responsibility for regional KOL identification and management to yield contribution to marketing goals, primarily in terms of peer-to-peer content (papers, talks, workshop presentations etc.) The ideal candidate has a deep understanding and background in the Materials, Life Science, Research, and Industrial business segments.Key Responsibilities:

Segment Market Intelligence & Research

– Identify and present key market insights and forecasts in support of Americas strategy, audience segmentation, marketing, pipeline, and portfolio planning.Assess and track market size and growth dynamics among target audience segments, including shape and scope of the related opportunity potential – present OI market share, size of addressable market and projected status.Regularly track and analyze various funding agencies, government, association, etc. websites for recently awarded grants, awards that would indicate funding availability.Actively monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify market expansion opportunities.Create and deploy existing customer data in a format which enables marketing and sales to target for opportunity creation.Understand and prepare for Risks, Dependencies, Contingencies including shifts in market behavior, competitive dynamics, and evolving customer needs in consideration of Americas portfolio growth priorities, sales pipeline needs, and the regional product roadmap.Segment Go-To-Marketing Strategy

– Provide consultation and strategic recommendations for go-to-market planning, based on market intelligence and an understanding of OI Americas business objectives.Contribute to establishment of marketing strategy KPI targets and performance metrics.Proactively anticipate future changes which can feed into targeting and audience priorities, including funding trends, legislation, evolving customer needs/pain points.Thought Leadership Strategy / Key Opinion Leaders Identification and DevelopmentOwn the strategy to ensure OI is positioned as an industry thought leader in key scientific areas such as tradeshow in-booth talks, lunch and learns, scientific posters, vendor tutorials, industry workshops, and webinars.Develop relationships with regional KOLs and strategy to leverage value from KOL relationships.Organize and manage targeted regional workshops aligned to prioritized industry segments including agenda development, talk development, site selection, coordination with local customer site, sales staffing coordination, speaker identification (internal and external) and management.About the Candidate:The right candidate for this role will be a highly driven sales professional with 10+ years of marketing experience in relevant industries; academic and Professional background in Material/Life Science Research Prospect in Academic and/or Industrial business segments; and the ability to travel approximately 20% time. We are looking for someone with strong research and analytical skills to interpret marketing trends and audience behaviors translating into strategic recommendation for go-to-market and sales pipeline planning.Bachelor’s degree in marketing (Master’s preferred).Understanding of audience targeting, buyer persona development and associated value proposition creation.Market intelligence and research - ability to obtain and leverage available market and industry data sources/resources.Marketing strategy and yearly marketing planning.Strong operational and business acumen.Strong collaboration and interpersonal communications skills - Ability to work closely with various departments, functions and geographies; creating alignment and able to influence without direct authority.Proficiency at presenting in both small and group settings.Highly driven and strong sense of urgency, focused on driving results.Effective project management skills, highly organized with a strong affinity for detail.Excellent communication skills in various formats (verbal, ppt, excel, etc.).Oxford Instruments Perks and benefits:Generous benefit packages - We offer our employees competitive health insurance options, including Medical, Dental, and Vision plans.Our 401k program has options for saving both pre- and post-tax dollars for retirement.Paid Time Off (PTO) Work-life balance is a key part of our company culture here at OI, and we know that our employees do their best work when they can take the time they need to rest and recharge.
