Kings University starts October 15, 2024, and runs through the 24-25 season!

Job Summary:

Join the Stockton Kings Marketing team as an enthusiastic intern, and immerse yourself in a hands-on, agency-like experience that's designed to provide exceptional exposure to the sports industry. Our Marketing department is at the heart of our organization, collaborating with various internal departments, including Ticket Sales, Corporate Partnerships, Community Impact, the Team Store, and Events. As a Marketing Intern, you'll be an integral part of this dynamic team, supporting projects, collaborating with our internal Creative Services department, and working alongside external vendors to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:Collaborating with the Marketing and Creative Services teams to schedule, prioritize, and manage projects.Utilizing project management tools to track requests and provide project status reports.Serving as a liaison between the Marketing team and other departments to oversee projects throughout the creative process.Assisting in the procurement of Marketing materials by obtaining project quotes from vendors, including promotional items and signage.Managing the department budget and tracking purchase orders.Organizing and monitoring promotional item inventory, and assisting with request fulfillment and distribution.Injecting creative thinking into Marketing projects.Creating marketing content, including print, social media, and radio materials, in support of various departments.Contributing to events or promotions, including nights and weekends as needed.Qualifications:

Pursuing or holding a major/degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.Strong experience in graphic design and a preference for experience in videography.Preferred experience gained from internships, involvement in school athletic departments, or participation in school organizations.Exceptional writing and editing skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities.Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced team environment.High motivation, goal-oriented mindset, and a natural problem-solving ability.Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.Ability to engage and communicate effectively with internal clients, vendors, and fans, maintaining a customer-first attitude.A creative mindset and a passion for teamwork.Physical capability to occasionally lift 25+ lbs. in support of game night promotions and the management of promotional items/merchandise.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Design, and Photoshop.To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:

Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 monthsAble to commute to the Stockton officeAble to work 25 hours per week

Interns will be compensated $16.00 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
