Position Description:
The Worship Leader is expected to be a person who possesses a deeply held Christian Faith, has a sincere relationship with Jesus Christ, and affirms the tenets of the United Methodist Church’s theology/polity. This person must demonstrate a strong desire to be an active part of the life and ministry of Dyer United Methodist Church and be willing and capable of balancing their energy between the areas of worship, fellowship, and personal spiritual growth. Essential to this end is that the Worship Leader work in a spirit of cooperation and harmony with all staff and volunteers in the mutual effort of serving Christ through the Church.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating songs
Organizing and leading rehearsal(s)
Working with the praise team to lead worship with music and liturgy
Consulting with the Senior Pastor
Leading one service each Sunday
Requirements (Skill):
Ability to work with and lead a team
Ability to organize, coordinate and distribute music for the team
Familiarity with ProProsenter and CCLI
Proficient in either guitar or piano/keyboard
Have a growing relationship with Jesus
Job Type:
Part-time
Pay:
$15,000.00 per year
Expected hours:
15 – 20 per week
Schedule:
Day shift
Holidays
Weekends as needed
