Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.The Effector RF Products Department is seeking talented engineers with the skills and passion to work on complex projects that shape antenna, radome, and antenna measurement system technology within the Company. The selected candidate will be contributing to diverse teams and executing tasks in various antenna and radome design life cycles. This is an entry-level Electrical Engineer position for an individual with educational experience and/or professional interest in the application of technical antenna principles, concepts, and techniques.

A successful candidate is one with the skillset and passion required to solve complex engineering problems, properly apply engineering tools and processes, and leverage knowledge from previous coursework and projects.This position is in Tucson, AZ and is an on-site role.What You Will DoDevelopment of antenna or radome hardware and requirements.Working with interdisciplinary engineering teams including thermal, structural, mechanical, systems, etc.Working with antenna manufacturing suppliers.Antenna modeling and simulation execution on workstations and high performance computing resources (HPC)Interpret simulation or measurement test data to verify performance to requirements.Qualifications You Must HaveMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.Experience and/or coursework in programming and/or simulation experience in MATLAB, SIMULINK, C/C++, or equivalent language.Experience and/or coursework with the following:

Communication theoryRF and electromagnetic theory

Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi and/or GRASPThis position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We PreferABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard.3.0 cumulative GPA desired.Solid background and practical understanding of designing GPS antenna systems (to include experience or relevant course work).Model generation and simulation experience with conformal antennas (to include experience or relevant course work).Proficiency with Python, MATLAB and/or other high level scientific programming languagesProficiency with high performance computing (HPC) environments and schedulers such as SLURMABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures.Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.What We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
