The Opportunity

The Director of Global Marketing Business Management and Performance Optimization is responsible for monitoring, measuring, analyzing and optimizing the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and team activities, in alignment and delivery on the overall company goals, and the objectives of the Global Institutional Marketing team. This role will collaborate with global marketing colleagues and business partners in Canada, the US and Europe to align on priorities, measurement, and tracking and helping to drive employee engagement. The role will also collaborate with the Global Head of Institutional Marketing on regular team communications and stakeholder updates on team progress and OKRs. The Director is an integral part of the Institutional Marketing leadership team, reporting directly to the Global Head of Institutional Marketing.

Essential Responsibilities:

Reporting:

Monitor and report on effectiveness of ongoing Global Institutional marketing initiatives across regions:

Monthly business reporting to global marketing

Quarterly business reporting on key marketing KPIs and accomplishments

Overall budget management and participation in expense tracking and management

Evaluate current activities and identify opportunities to optimize and achieve global synergy/efficiencies

Serve as a centralized contact for strategic funding initiatives. Work with key collaborators to outline requirements and track KPIs; assist in the development of business cases

Employee Engagement:

Track employee engagement and feedback within the department

Continuously collect feedback within the department and create actionable solutions to address common themes

Make recommendations for department sharing opportunities based on feedback and survey results

Coordinate with department heads on action planning sessions and determine regular check points for follow up on action plans

Communications:

Build communications strategy with leadership and develop regular team communication materials (monthly updates, quarterly review materials, partner presentations)

Engage with team leaders and counterparts in Retail and Retirement to share best practices and form a community of practice

Identify ways to improve the amplification of team achievements and how they connect to business goals and objectives

Shared Responsibilities:

Influence strategy and prioritization

Contribute to vendor selection and marketing technologies to support the business

Exceptional communications skills (written and verbal) with strong proficiency in PPT and Excel

What are we looking for

Bachelors degree

8-10+ years of experience in the asset management or related industry; agency experience required

Management experience preferred

Knowledge of the investment industry, markets, products and investment concepts

Knowledge of the asset management regulatory environment and guidelines

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Creative and innovative thinker with a solution-oriented approach

Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization

Salary range is expected to be between

$84,375.00 CAD - $151,875.00 CAD
