Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Global Marketing – Batteries Communications and Brands is responsible for leading the overall Positioning of Brands, Communications Cycle Plans and Global Creative Development to achieve profit, sales, brand and share goals. This role is responsible for stewarding the brands, ensuring communications plans align with the overarching business needs, setting equity and creative performance objectives, delivering marketing plans and executing creative components.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy, position and identity efforts for all battery brands and consumer targets.

Drive development and deployment of the Marketing Cycle plan for battery branded communications. The primary components for which this role is accountable include:

Set the overall communications strategy aligned with the brands’ strategies based on the company, consumer, competitive and marketplace dynamics

Lead development and execution of the 3-year communications cycle plan serving as the primary liaison to creative agencies including briefing, reviews, feedback and compliance with SOW.

Lead development of creative and messaging strategies, objectives and tactics.

Lead Global Creative Development and manage entire production process including research, development, reviews, production, editing, agency feedback and asset delivery.

Partner with broader Batteries Category team on critical initiatives, strategies and support

Lead and drive collaboration to deliver annual global marketing plans that support Brands and Communications initiatives / key projects to include: consumer rationale, supporting area assets, marketing guidelines, creative assets, and more as outlined in the asset grid

Collaborate closely with the Global Digital/Media to ensure aligned upon media plans, creative objectives and deliverables. Develop strategic creative rotation recommendations.

Develop and deliver engaging presentations as part of global deployment process

Facilitate communication between Global and Activation Marketing by developing strong relationships with Activation Leaders and others through regular contact, securing appropriate feedback on cycle plans, asset grid, acting as a brand steward for Activation-led creative when related to ad hoc creative request.

Lead strategic analysis and research plans for Brand Health, Consumer Perceptions in conjunction with Consumer Insights Team to measure and track both creative and brand performance. Partner to gain additional insights into consumers, brands, competition, etc.

Demonstrate an on-going understanding of batteries business via analysis through key tools. Understand competitive intelligence and changing marketplace dynamics for input into global strategies.

Provide guidance to other team members who participate in communications and brand efforts as appropriate

Perform additional duties as assigned

Creative and messaging strategies for the brands

Metrics for brand equity and creative assets and reporting/analysis to track performance

What we are looking for

4-Year College degree with an emphasis on Business Administration or Marketing

Ability to influence senior management and support functions Globally

Demonstrated competencies in collaboration, team leadership and achieving results in alignment with stated company and business segment strategy
