This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of traditional media channels, a keen eye for market trends, and the ability to negotiate and secure cost-effective media placements. You will work closely with the account team to drive successful advertising campaigns, maximize brand visibility, and achieve marketing objectives.

Responsibilities:

Media Planning:

Collaborate with internal teams to understand advertising goals, target audiences, and budget constraints. Develop comprehensive media plans that align with clients' objectives and strategies.

Media Buying:

Utilize your industry knowledge to identify the most suitable traditional media platforms, including TV, radio, print, and outdoor advertising. Negotiate media buys and secure advantageous rates and placements to optimize campaign reach and impact.

Market Research:

Stay current with market trends, audience preferences, and competitor activities. Conduct research to identify new opportunities and provide insights to enhance media planning.

Budget Management:

Manage allocated budgets for media campaigns.

Vendor Relationships:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media vendors to leverage preferred rates, added value, special opportunities, and priority placements.

Campaign Optimization:

Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of the various media channels. Adjust strategies as necessary.

Reporting and Analysis:

Generate detailed reports on campaign performance, offering insights and recommendations to clients and internal teams. Evaluate the effectiveness of media channels and share insights for future improvements.

Team Leadership:

Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant & junior media buyers and assist in their professional development.

Meetings:

Attend client meetings in person to present media plans and strategies.

Events:

Attend local events with clients on occasion.

Skills & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.

10+ years of media buying experience, with strong relationships in California markets.

In-depth knowledge of media planning tools, negotiation strategies, and market trends.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in using media buying and planning tools and software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Detail-oriented and organized.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

Job Type:

Full-time

Pay:

$85,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
