The Learning Experience Design team is building workforce learning for the FUTURE - rethinking not only the content we produce, but the way content is consumed. We are a team of Day 1 designers who work closely with content experts, technology, and metrics to drive new ways of learning in the workplace for Data Centers around the world. AWS Data Center Learning is responsible for providing training and career development-based learning paths to all new and existing data center technicians worldwide. Our team is constantly looking to optimize the training experience and provide our field operations teams with the highest skilled workforce.

The Learning Experience Designer will ensure that we're aligned to the highest value learning opportunities to not only improve our learner experience but to drive internal development processes as well. Responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams on process optimization and training content development that supports reduction in time-to-productivity and decrease in error rates for Data Center roles. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, highly engaged environment, and has the ability to connect the dots organizationally, network effortlessly, and influence various roles, levels, and profiles to drive collaboration, as well as grow fellow designers and develop the best.

Key job responsibilities:Design, develop, and deploy training as part of a blended learning strategyPartner with cross-functional teams to build out development experiences with a global mindsetSolve business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunitiesWork with technical SMEs to design and create engaging end-user trainingManage multiple curricula development projects simultaneouslyDevelop training materials that align to a blended training delivery strategy, including self-directed, instructor-led (ILT), virtual (vILT), and hands-on practical trainingMeasure impact and quickly revise content/modality to address specific feedback, as neededCreate reliable and valid learner evaluation tools to gauge knowledge and skill transferDrive use of evaluation and performance data to improve learning contentWork with global stakeholders to program manage technical training program

This position must be able to sit onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as instructional technology, educational technology, organizational development or 3+ years of relevant experience in instructional design3+ Years developing and executing strategies, development, and delivery of creative and innovative training solutions3+ years of experience developing training in a variety of delivery modalitiesExperience program managing learning and development projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working as a consultant in a corporate or startup environment.Experience working with remote teams and an international audienceObsessed about the customer experience, high standards, and continually inspire others to do better for the customerExperience gathering, building, interpreting, and communicating performance metrics to multiple organizational levelsExperience creating training for the high-tech industryTechnical aptitude to be able to quickly learn new technologies and develop various learning solutions
