The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.San Diego FC (San Diego FC) is the newest member of the MLS family. As part of the unique Right to Dream model and the Sycuan Tribe’s deep roots, we are proud to be building a San Diego-centric soccer organization that honors our history and celebrates emerging excellence.SUMMARY:San Diego FC is laying the foundations to be an amazing MLS franchise, a positive part of the San Diego community and a benchmark in holistic talent development. This requires a strong brand that delivers something unique and powerful to bring along stakeholders for the long run. It also requires well-planned, targeted and commercially driven marketing to deliver revenue for the business. There are already great brand assets in place, including the people, the positioning and the community relationships. These assets need to be continuously inspired and organized for maximum positive impact.Key Responsibilities:Build marketing programs that drive sales, revenue and innovation – specifically ticket sales.Integrate with existing club culture.Manage and develop the existing brand, marketing and community team.Develop and execute the long-term SDFC integrated marketing, brand and community strategies.Ensure effective delivery of marketing objectives aligned with the executive team, the board and commercial team.Foster key relationships across and outside the business to elevate the SDFC brand and deliver objectives (e.g. Merchandising, Right to Dream, Fan Groups, Media).Consistently communicate strategy, deliverables and results with all stakeholders to fully integrate marketing into the business and vice-versa.QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates can meet the requirements with a combination of experience in the following areas:Min-10 years marketing experience.Min – 5 years integrated marketing experience.Must have experience selling tickets in professional US Sports Team.Stakeholder management to board level.Proven team leader, in particular through changing business environments.Creative and Media management experience.Integrated marketing planning expertise, across all marketing levers.Proven ability in commercially driven marketing plans, preferable within an MLS or Major league sports environment.Product marketing expertise in a sports franchise.Media planning and buying expertise.Ability to manage brand messaging across the full marketing mix.Long-term strategic marketing planning skill set.Short-term tactical marketing execution knowledge.ABOUT SAN DIEGO FC:Our
