Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.As Amazon’s store-wide design system owner, we define the UX guidelines and design language (codified in our shopping design system) that enables teams across Amazon to design on-brand shopping experiences efficiently and at scale. We are looking for a UX designer that enjoys building the design system that is utilized by thousands of designers and developers around the world. You love thinking about how the design framework and component work across different use cases (different screen sizes, languages, countries, etc). You love collaborating with design and engineering teams with different business objectives and identifying the solution that can scale.Key job responsibilities
Define and evolve the design systemBuild libraries for design tools (Figma, etc.) and contribute to design component documentationPartner with teams across Amazon to identify and deliver compelling ways to bring design consistency across the siteConsider market analysis, customer feedback, metrics, and usability findings to inform design rationaleCreate design specifications for engineering partnersAbout the team: Shopping Design is a group of highly curious designers and product managers working collaboratively to bring products to life, power the Amazon shopping experience, and deliver innovation at incredible scale across all devices and touch-points. We own the features that enable the customer’s shopping journey from discovery to evaluation, and purchase. 2+ years of mass-market consumer web / mobile products experienceExperience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
