Principal C# Service Design Engineer . We seek individuals who respect others for their knowledge and skills and thrive in an inclusive environment. If you are a driven software engineer who collaborates with dedicated professionals, this opportunity allows you to develop cutting-edge medical device products that improve health and well-being.This role requires a driven engineer willing to tackle complex technical issues using their expertise. You will work alongside dedicated engineers across various disciplines and contribute to products that make real improvements in people’s lives.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and deliver reliable, high-quality embedded and desktop software for complex medical instruments meeting regulatory standards.Participate in designing and implementing C# .Net services to coordinate and control medical instrument activities like scheduling, inventory management, and error recovery.Collaborate with the chief architect on design tradeoffs to determine appropriate solutions.Create, maintain, and review software project documents, including software development plans and detailed software design documents.Participate in software project risk and hazard analysis.Drive software requirements with team members and integrate with system requirements.Utilize software engineering best practices (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, static analysis).Work cooperatively within the software group and across disciplines such as systems, electrical, optical, and mechanical.Work in a hybrid environment with the ability to report onsite when needed.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.10 or more years of relevant experience developing software for complex instruments or devices.Experience in designing and implementing C# .Net services for medical instrument activities.Understanding of revision control and issue tracking systems.Strong oral and written communication skills.Experience in software development lifecycle (Agile) and object-oriented design methodology.Familiarity with medical device regulatory guidance such as 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485.Preferred experience with software configuration tools (Git, Jira, etc.).Demonstrated technical leadership skills.Creative, innovative, and good organizational skills.Experience with SOA, gRPC, and Entity Framework is helpful.Benefits9/80 schedule providing every other Friday off.Competitive compensation & 401k program.Robust medical, dental, vision, & disability coverage.Flexible Vacation & PTO.Generous Employee Referral Program.Elbit Systems of America is committed to equal opportunity employment and providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
