Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay/Clearpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 47 million monthly active customers. As designers at Cash App, our focus is to create world-class experiences for our customers. We pride ourselves in rethinking established paradigms and bringing creative solutions into existence in order to redefine the world’s relationship with money.Our product designers take a product, feature, or experience from ideation to production. This includes vision setting, designing solutions, prototyping, bringing along cross-functional teams, overseeing implementation, and collaborating with other designers, researchers, product managers, analysts, and engineers.As part of Commerce design, your charter will be to create simple, delightful experiences that connect our customers with our merchants to help both thrive. You’ll work closely with partners to define product strategy and craft innovative experiences.Who you are:Customer-centric: You know how to balance the needs of customers with those of the business.Thrive in ambiguity: You tackle problems with grit and determination.Insist on focus: Skilled in strategic and product thinking.Compete on creativity: You pursue bold ideas and take risks.You have:5+ years of experience as a Product Designer.A passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging solutions.An innate understanding of the end-to-end design process.Strong visual design craft and prototyping skills.A starter mentality, going quickly to design.A passion for an iterative process.Excellent communication and storytelling skills.A constructive voice in design critique settings.The ability to apply both consumer insights as well as product thinking.Strong systems thinking with the ability to connect the dots across the entire customer journey.Even better if you have:Previous work experience in a consumer-focused fintech organization.Demonstrated impact on product strategy and user experience.Encouraged innovative approaches to design techniques.A growth mindset, proactively seeking out opportunities to improve.Please submit a deck or portfolio of work with your application that showcases your design process from exploratory stages through execution.Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area.
