Summary

This role sits in our Pet division, leveraging our expertise in quality proteins to offer nutritious, all natural foods and treats for all members of the family, including the furry ones. The Marketing Manager is responsible for cultivating and leading the brand communications strategy and implementation to continually enhance the Full Moon and Spot Farms brand image: increasing brand awareness, consideration, and sales through social media, PR, relationship marketing, and partnerships. This position is hybrid based in the Santa Monica, CA office. Up to 25% travel required. This position offers a salary range of 100K - 130K (DOE) plus a management incentive program, and comprehensive benefits.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Brand Partnerships:

Recruit and nurture long-term relationships with top-rated pet brands in adjacent market segments (i.e. leashes, dog beds, pet clothing, etc.) in order to grow the Full Moon/Spot Farms community and position our brands as a part of millennial lifestyle and culture.

Field Marketing:

Plan and oversee field marketing activations designed to build grassroots brand awareness drive product trial to include in-store sampling, dog park pop-ups, etc.

Community & Content Management:

Build and foster a community of brand enthusiasts, serving as the voice of our brand in all owned channels including social, subscriber email, and SMS. Work in tandem with a social media agency responsible for the content strategy and brand expression on all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok).

Brand Ambassador Building:

Build a full-funnel brand ambassador strategy designed to build awareness, garner brand credibility, and drive product sales with our target consumer on social media. Identify, recruit, and manage influencer talent in alignment with key tentpole marketing campaigns to optimize brand awareness. Build an ambassador program that utilizes brand advocates on social media to drive online sales.

Media Relations:

Support PR strategy and oversee day-to-day management of media relations, in conjunction with Corporate PR resources. This includes: 1) proactive planning of media outreach around key launches and cultural holidays (i.e. Pet Appreciation Month, etc.) 2) review of press releases and media pitches. 3) guidance and execution of media/influencer seeding kits and mailers (Note: requires working with operations to keep the office stocked with product and shipping out kits and mailers when necessary).

Marketing Material Creation:

With a graphic designer, manage the creation of all brand collateral to support the brand partnerships and communications channels (i.e. seeding kits, mailers, inserts, etc.), ensuring consistent voice and asethetic.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Business Administration.

MBA a plus.

Equivalent related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience Requirements

10+ years of related work experience.

Consumer packaged product experience.

Consumer packaged product experience with emphasis in food or pet categories preferred.

Experience managing external agency partners in PR and/or social media.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or building site.

May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.

May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.

Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
