The Marketing Director is responsible for developing the vision, goals, strategies, and tactics to achieve commercial business success with these product lines, and will lead the development of the annual marketing, revenue and expense plans related to those products.The Digital Solutions product lines are a mix of existing software products and future hardware, software and service solutions that Olympus is developing and bringing to market. This Director will play an integral part in helping to define and commercialize these future products and services, in conjunction with global and regional colleagues across multiple departments and functions.The Marketing Director may begin as an individual contributor but is expected to become responsible for recruiting and leading a team of marketing professionals, which includes managing performance, enabling professional development, and ensuring timely completion of business objectives.Job Duties

Lead the creation of the annual commercial business plan which outlines the vision, goals, strategies and tactics to achieve the business objectives. Ensure alignment across the organization with leadership and support organization. Measure the success of strategies with corresponding KPI’s and manage results accordingly.As needed, recruit, lead and manage a team of product managers, providing direction and establishment of goals and objectives. Provide coaching, development and training to the team members, help overcome problems and manage roadblocks, and deploy the team in alignment with the strategy of the GI business and overall Olympus direction.As needed, provide direction to product managers on the execution of the commercial business plan including: 1) the launch of new products, 2) development of value propositions and messaging, 3) communication of key selling messages using all available and relevant channels, and 4) development and execution of clinical and/or other strategy to differentiate company products.Work closely with Sales leaders to ensure strong collaboration on the execution of the Commercial Business plan, including the launch of new products, programs, promotions, and other business initiatives. Work closely with the supply chain organization to ensure a high quality of service for customers.Identify and maintain relationships with Health Care Professionals following the Olympus code of ethics and compliance guidelines. Define strategic relationships as they apply to meeting sales and marketing objectives.Identify clinical/economic/other study requirements based on business objectives and evaluate study proposals. Ensure team builds strong relationships with end users and arrange for peer-to-peer advocacy and training as well as reference sites.Build strong relationships internally with other product marketing teams and Global counterparts in order to drive alignment and long-term planning across the business.Work closely with Senior Leadership to communicate business results and updates on key initiatives. Develop and present business results during monthly and quarterly business review meetings.Other relevant duties as required.Job Qualifications
