Digital Marketing Manage r to support projects across the organization and to raise the visibility of MCC’s work nationwide.Making Caring Common's Marketing Manager has primary responsibility for the strategic development, management, and day-to-day operation of MCC's digital channels, including a range of social media profiles, the project's website, and monthly email newsletters. They will also work to promote MCC programs and initiatives and to support MCC efforts to recruit schools and families for MCC initiatives. They will report to the Faculty Director.In alignment with MCC's goals, the Marketing Manager creates and executes an annual strategic plan for MCC's digital channels and maintains a project-wide editorial calendar. They also collaborate with all members of the MCC team, partner organizations, and other stakeholders to develop and disseminate creative, timely, and message-driven content that helps advance strategic goals and priorities and increase the visibility and impact of the project. To expand the reach and impact of messaging and content, the Marketing Manager keeps abreast of industry trends and best practices; analyzes the performance of content, campaigns, and digital channels; and oversees analytics reporting. They also oversee the development and launch of new channels as needed and day-to-day technical troubleshooting.Benefits are not available for this position. Pay is $65 - 75hr, depending on skills and experience. Position can be remote or hybrid in our Cambridge, MA office. Harvard may directly employ individuals working in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, California (exempt only), Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington (state).Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Digital content strategy:Strategic planning and oversight of a range of digital channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, a monthly newsletter, and www.makingcaringcommon.org;Development and execution of digital content strategy spanning social media, web, and email;Manage complex communications and marketing campaigns across platforms;Create, manage, and execute a project-wide editorial calendar.Content creation & channel management:Conceptualize, research, write, produce, and publish a variety of digital content, including blog posts, captions, social designs, and videos;Day-to-day management of digital channels;Technical troubleshooting, as needed.Analytics & best practicesTrack, analyze, and report on performance across channels;Consult on digital communications needs for MCC team.Communications & mediaManage and track incoming media requests as needed;Maintain MCC’s media list;Assist with periodic launching of MCC reports;Support school and family recruitment efforts for MCC initiativesQualifications and experience:Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience in communications or marketing with a focus on digital strategy. Ideal candidate will have experience executing effective communications and marketing programs within a large, complex organization.Exhibits a creative, bold, innovative, and strategic approach to achieve results.Exceptional oral and written communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated experience creating digital content, managing digital campaigns, and measuring the success of digital content and campaigns on various platforms including social media, email, mobile, and the web.Ability to prioritize effectively and to understand the dynamics of a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.Ability to establish a high level of rapport with colleagues within the university community; utilize judgment and sensitivity in presenting issues; provide leadership in determining appropriate courses of action.Possesses strong project management and organization skills. Ability to analyze and assess the effectiveness of communications methods implemented. Possesses a collaborative, team-focused working style. Self-sufficient, self-motivated, and resourceful.Proficient in various CMS and social media platforms, in addition to project management tools. Experience with Squarespace, Canva and/or Adobe Express, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred.High level of comfort in a fast-paced, high-energy, entrepreneurial environment.
