The Read/Write Channel Integration team is looking to hire additional talent and expertise. In this role, you will integrate new channel features and functions into an advanced signal processing chip, used for recording and readback of digital information that resides on a Hard Disk Drive (HDD). This role also requires working closely with our internal Architecture team and external suppliers on the development of technologies for future generations of HDD.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to the development and integration of advanced read/write channel features to achieve HDD capacity gains
Ability to understand and optimize state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms within the HDD recording system
Perform failure analysis (FA) of read/write issues, throughout a HDD product lifecycle
Ability to communicate concepts and results with technical leads, management, and external engineering community effectively
Work with team members, vendor technical support, and our internal Western Digital product development teams in a proactive and productive manner
