Job Description

The University of Tulsa's Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications (MarCom) is seeking a dynamic and organized Marketing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential, executive support to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and the MarCom team. Your responsibilities will include creative traffic management, budget tracking, press and publicity support, and other duties as assigned. Essential Responsibilities:Coordinate and manage marketing projects, ensuring timely completion and delivery.Collaborate with creative teams to prioritize and assign tasks.Maintain project schedules, track progress, and resolve any bottlenecks.Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials.Assist in tracking the marketing department's budget.Monitor expenses, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for cost saving measures.Collaborate with finance and procurement departments to process invoices and purchase orders.Prepare presentations, reports, and other documents as required.Monitor media coverage and compile press clippings and reports.Provide administrative assistance to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and travel coordination.Assist with event planning and coordination for marketing related activities.Be adaptable and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the marketing team's goals and initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Prior experience in marketing or communications is a plus.

Familiarity with higher education marketing is a plus.
