About the Role:

This team works cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance, ensuring efficiency and accuracy throughout the customer journey, from lead generation to revenue recognition. Revenue Operations is a pivotal partner in helping our go-to-market teams achieve their revenue goals.

The Manager, Marketing Operations at PitchBook plays a pivotal role in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our Marketing teams. Treating Marketing teams as your customers, your goal is to empower and enable them to operate as autonomously as possible when working with our enterprise Marketing systems (e.g. Salesforce, Marketo). To do this, you are responsible for developing yourself and your team into experts in Marketing operational processes, deeply understanding how the tools and enterprise systems we provide to Marketing teams meet their operational needs and offer operational efficiencies, and then providing services via your team (support, training, and documentation) that Marketing teams need to be effective.

You manage the success of three primary functions: Marketing Platform support, Marketing Platform training, and Marketing operational documentation.

Marketing Platform Support: You are responsible for establishing standardized inflow processes through which business teams can submit requests for support and issues with or questions about our Marketing Platform tools. Positioning your team for quickly responding and resolving Marketing team tickets, you manage and prioritize incoming work, establish and adhere to internal SLAs, and build, monitor, and improve Marketing Operations team metrics to measure your success.

Marketing Platform Training: You are responsible for establishing and overseeing training for Marketing teams on our operational systems, thereby increasing those teams' autonomy and reducing support needs. Further, as an internal "go-to-market" function, you ensure your team evangelizes new features, tools, systems, integrations, and data/metrics that are made available by Marketing Platform and Intelligence teams.

Marketing Operational Documentation: You will maintain up-to-date documentation on Marketing operational processes and how our ecosystem of tools supports, enables, and automates Marketing needs.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Marketing Automation Management: Take ownership of our marketing automation platform (e.g., Marketo) to design, build, and execute automated campaigns.

Campaign Execution: Develop and implement automated email campaigns, lead nurturing programs, and customer journey workflows to drive engagement and conversions.

Support Management: Establish standardized inflow processes for handling requests and tickets from Sales teams, prioritizing work, and adhering to SLAs.

Strategy & Objectives: Own and drive our marketing operations strategy and objectives (OKRs).

Training and Documentation: Update and evangelize internal documentation and training materials for new tools or automation introduced by platform teams.

Team Performance: Develop and monitor team metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Team Leadership: Lead and build a team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure operational excellence and alignment with business objectives.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for organizational efficiency improvements via automation.

Roadmap Contribution: Contribute ideas and insights to the Sales Platform team for inclusion in the automation roadmap.

Company Values: Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors.

Company Initiatives: Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

6+ years of experience in marketing operations or a similar role, preferably in a technology or SaaS company.

Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team, with a track record of fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

5+ years of experience working with marketing operational processes and tools (e.g., Marketo), with the ability to configure and administer them effectively.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive decision-making.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and empower stakeholders effectively.

Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
