Principal Social Monetization Lead, Creative Ad Studio

Description

Wondery is seeking an experienced social media monetization leader to develop, implement, and execute a scalable strategy that drives meaningful revenue impact. Reporting to the Head of the Creative Ad Studio, this role will be responsible for leveraging Wondery's host talent and content across social media platforms to achieve the company's overall business goals.

Key job responsibilities

Develop and own the social media monetization strategy for Wondery, continuously analyzing audience data, engagement metrics, and revenue performance to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.

Leverage market research to set strategic business goals and work with the Revenue Operations & Strategy team to establish CPMs and pricing models for social packages, as well as contribute to media plans for sponsorship campaigns with social elements.

Partner closely with podcast hosts and the Partner Management team to seamlessly integrate monetization into social content.

Collaborate with the Creative Strategy team to ideate and present compelling social sponsorship opportunities that can be packaged with larger show or tentpole offerings.

Manage the end-to-end execution of social monetization tactics, including branded content and platform-specific features

Manage workflow with internal and third party specialists and drive cross-functional efforts with the content, marketing, sales and partner teams

Day-to-day management of paid social campaigns, inclusive of asset creation (liaising with content + marketing teams to provide direction on clips, copy, design and product integration), trafficking, pacing, optimization, and reporting

Manage creative specs and timelines with client creative teams

Author creative best practices for social ad products, train internal and external parties on use, and develop a mechanism to track output to maintain a high creative bar

Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track the success of monetization efforts and inform future strategy; utilize data analytics and social listening tools to track performance, brand lift, and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI

Serve as the trusted platform advisor on social media monetization, staying up-to-date on platform features, advertising products, and emerging models to advise the Advertising organization.

Align social media strategies with the overall marketing team to amplify brand initiatives and achieve cohesive consumer experiences.

Basic Qualifications

10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Experience managing influencer marketing campaigns and building effective partnerships with talent and/or social media partners

Experience with digital advertising technologies, including ad networks, programmatic advertising, and social commerce integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience packaging social opportunities, implementing social media monetization strategies and driving revenue growth for shows/content and top talent

Experience working within the sports and entertainment verticals and strong understanding of video production

In-depth understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and X platform features, advertising capabilities, algorithms and creator monetization tools

Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas for content and engagement

Experience with digital advertising technologies, including ad networks, programmatic advertising, and social commerce integrations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $153,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
