Aligned with Rutgers University–New Brunswick and collaborating university wide, RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and six centers and institutes that focus on cancer treatment and research, neuroscience, clinical and translational research, advanced biotechnology and medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health care policy and aging research.This position will be responsible for designing curriculum to expand and enhance training available to Direct Support Professionals and Support Coordinators who work in organizations that support New Jersey’s Division of Developmental Disabilities. Successful candidates will update existing curriculum and/or develop new engaging, learner-centered training courses, modules, and materials in various platforms including classroom-based instruction, remote learning, interactive e-learning, videos, webinars, and resource materials.Key Responsibilities

In collaboration with project teams, conduct research of curricula to determine what materials, resources and innovations should be added, revised, or adapted to meet new learning models.Develop/redesign curricula suitable for adults and ELL, which will include traditional classroom, fully online, and/or hybrid content.Prepare curriculum materials (i.e., handouts, reading materials, videos, presentations) in multiple variations, for traditional to hybrid classrooms.Collaborate with Boggs Center training teams and external consultants to develop curricula that ensures work is consistent with the mission and goals of the project.Exhibit extensive knowledge of relevant technologies and the principles and theories of adult learning.Determine how instructional methods, technologies and tools are applied to change knowledge and behaviors in alignment with the project goals.Position Status Full TimeDaily Work Shift: DayMinimum Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, curriculum/instructional development, instructional technology, or a related field.Four years of experience in instructional design.Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree.Experience working in or with non-profit Federal, County or Local government organization.Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands: Travel to meetings throughout the state (some limited out of state travel may be required), including the transportation of facilitation materials to site locations.Work Environment: Downtown New Brunswick-based office suite (a clean, well-lighted quiet to moderately quiet setting), in a semi-private workspace, shared with team members.Special Conditions All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment screenings.
