The MIL Corporation

is looking for an

Audio/Visual Senior Manager (Engineering, Senior Manager)

for our growing A/V efforts supporting US Government and DoD customers worldwide. Success in this role means excelling at providing technical management and programmatic support of multiple projects involving a cross functional staff of A/V architects, designers, software developers, integration technicians, and infrastructure designers and technicians.

This position is based out of one of our Lexington Park, MD locations and currently requires an on-site schedule with 5 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Direct A/V architecture efforts and design activities for all aspects of A/V solution spaces across all technology areas.

Direct A/V software development across all technology and vendor areas.

Direct A/V integration, testing, and deployment for all systems and solutions.

Keep up to date with evolving technologies and products to ensure REPS A/V maintains its reputation as a leading provider of A/V solutions.

Enforce system engineering principles.

Evaluate A/V Tools (CAE, CAD, etc.).

Adopt / enforce software development principles, including configuration management processes.

Programmatic Leadership

Support business development efforts to grow A/V efforts in all markets, including Military Construction (MILCON), Auditorium, Conference Room, Educational Facilities, Huddle Rooms, and Office solutions.

Work closely with project managers (PMs) to include A/V Engineering inputs in project ROM estimates and budgets.

Work with PMs and capability area leads to manage resource allocations and scheduling based on customer schedule resource availability constraints.

Review project schedules and progress to ensure on-time deliveries within budgets.

Develop departmental skill matrix and minimize capability gaps.

Travel

Total travel is expected to be about 10% to CONUS, and occasionally to OCONUS, sites.

Required Qualifications

Ten (10) or more years of direct experience with system architecture, analysis, design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment for multiple formats of A/V technologies, including equipment/systems and subsystems, with at least five (5) years of experience must be performing engineering functions related to US Government or DoD systems.

Five (5) or more years as a supervisor or functional lead working with cross-functional teams, including distributing work assignments based on technical capabilities and programmatic constraints.

Experience with systems engineering framework and reviews such as System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Comprehensive Design Review (CDR), and Test Readiness Review (TRR).

Strong proficiency with CAD software (i.e., AutoCAD, Visio)

Experience with ISO-9001, AS9100, and configuration management processes, including ASME drafting standards.

Knowledgeable in project management tools (e.g., MS-Project) and resource and capability management.

Experience in capability management and career development.

Familiar with governing standards and guidelines associated with the development of A/V systems.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, and Teams.

Effective oral and written communications with technical and management staff.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with WireCAD preferred.

Master’s degree or higher is preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a STEM area.

Clearance

All applicants for this position must possess a current

Secret (Top Secret / SCI preferred)

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $130,000 - $160,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL’s complete compensation package.
