Technical Writer

to support the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDEVCOM), Engineering and Systems Integration (ESI) Directorate, Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) Branch.This position is 100% on-site support on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen/ MD.*Relocation Assistance provided*In support of the Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract (IAC MAC) and Task Order (TO), SAIC is seeking a highly qualified and cleared candidate. We provide in-depth expertise to support research, development, assessments, adaption, transformation, testing, integration, demonstrations, transition, fielding, sustainment, and enhancement of designated information and/or intelligence software systems.Job Duties:Writes and updates material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance.Develop and maintain required technical reports, manuals, briefs, instruction books or other publications as required by the defined by the customer and projects.Prepares technical, scientific, or other material for publication in conjunction with or independent from manufacturing, research, and related activities.Has background in XML tagging.Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.Apply and/or develop highly advanced principles, theories and concepts.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience; Additional four (4) years experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.Required Clearance:Must have an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.Required Experience/Skills:Must have previous experience with and fully proficient in XML tagging.Experience with Dod MIL-STD 361-1 technical writing standards.Experience using Arbortext XML program.Must be able to work independently and within a team.Former experience in leading or guiding more junior technical writers.
