Description— Are you the Picasso of Production Artists? Do you look at the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and find mistakes? Well, then maybe your eagle eye and exacting standards would be a perfect fit for Two by Four. We need a Production Artist / Designer Extraordinaire, responsible for the production and seamless execution of print and digital materials. The mercurial artist in this position will be stimulated with frequent changes-of-pace, veering into the world of the creative and design departments to assist them with comp and layout work. Using your considerable talents (and a fine-tooth comb), you’ll be versioning out concepts, perfectly recreating all manner of artwork, translating everything from messy notes to mystifying change orders, and deciphering various other hieroglyphics.Responsibilities
Accurately build press-ready production filesExecute page layouts, make type and art corrections, and retouch artworkTake direction from Designers and create complete layouts and tacticsWork efficiently and meet all deadlines…tick, tick, tick…Follow and uphold department production processes to ensure accurate and error-free workAttend production meetings and ensure you receive all the information necessary to successfully produce the projectPrep files for vendors and clients, and demonstrate the ability to multi-taskUpdate production board daily and prioritize workloadInteract with agency personnel with diplomacy; address issues as they ariseProactively seek solutions to issuesQualifications
2-8 years of advertising agency experienceThorough knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft OfficeDesign skills that allow the translation of ideas into various tacticsA solid understanding of layout, printing process, file optimizationExperience with proofing, preflighting files, prepress and press checking is essentialJuggling ability: you’ll be multitasking several projects at a timeA strong attention to detail, and process-orientedRetouching skills are a bonusAccountability
