If you want to make an impact on a global scale, come make a difference at Fiserv.Job TitleInstructional Design ManagerWhat does a successful Instructional Design Manager do at Fiserv?You will be an integral part of the thought leadership team mapping the instructional strategies for a team of instructional designers building training for our clients while practicing your craft. You will guide the development of the designers and function as their coach and role model. You will have the opportunity to practice your instructional design craft, drive for innovative applications of the science and art of instructional design, and the reward of working with others to build their skills.The instructional designers work in collaboration with instructors from the facilitation teams and writers from the technical documentation teams to make courses and product support materials that are more effective and efficient for client learners. This focuses the client learning on the skills needed when using our products to perform their daily tasks, rather than on the extensive details of each product function, features and options. The use of cognitive learning techniques in our course designs shifts the instructor responsibilities from lecturing to facilitating, expanding their ability to enable client proficiency.What You Will DoManage instructional design team activities and oversee delivery of instructor-led courses, eLearnings, simulations and technical video content for Financial Institution Group products.Lead a team working with Product and SMEs to determine the content needs for our products.Apply understanding of products and services to translate complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content.Collaborate with leaders across multiple lines of business to define, strategize and deliver on key initiatives.Implement instructional design strategies, including writing compelling learning objectives, methods to measure success, and tactics to drive client engagement with content.Excel in creative thinking, effective communication, interpersonal astuteness, coaching and influencing others.Manage several projects that require leadership, project management, and analytical thinking.Be flexible with changing schedules and goals.Lead multiple projects in a fast paced, constantly changing environment, based on priority and business needs.Develop strategy for planning, creation, management, and deployment of learning content; manage all aspects of the development and project lifecycles.Implement eLearning governance and standards and collaborate on maintaining and updating standards.Evaluate current tools and recommend emerging eLearning technology to enhance the user experience.Effectively communicate and collaborate with other content creators to ensure a unified tone, style, and voice across all content.Utilize authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline & Rise, Camtasia.Analyze and translate technical and functional designs into user friendly client learning material.Ability to interact with all levels of an organization.Partners with Learning Technologies leader to validate and implement appropriate tools to drive improvements in effectiveness of and efficiencies in the creation of learning.Provides day-to-day support to the instructional design/development team members.Coaches and provides constructive feedback to instructional designers.What You Will Need To HaveBachelor’s degree in the area of Instructional Systems Design or Adult Education.Minimum eight years’ experience required.Experience in design & development of successful instructor led virtual classroom and self-study eLearning courses.Experience in people management, preferably managing instructional designers or other learning professionals.Experience as an Instructional Designer creating content for both an internal and external audience.Ability to travel 3-6 times per year within United States (1-week trips).What Would Be Great To HaveMaster’s degree in the area of Instructional Systems Design is preferred.Certified Performance Technologist (ISPI).Highly motivated, possessing strong organization and leadership skills with proven results.Certified in Instructional Design for eLearning.This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, New York or Washington.Please note that salary ranges provided for this role on external job boards are salary estimates made by outside parties and may not be accurate.Thank You For Considering Employment With Fiserv.
