We are also especially interested in candidates who have experience working with diverse populations and/or diverse initiatives .JOB TITLE:SEO Project Coordinator, Senior (GEAR UP Wyoming Student Programming Coordinator)JOB PURPOSE:The GEAR UP Wyoming program (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a federally-funded grant program intended to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter college and earn a degree. This position is designed to meet the needs of 7th-12th grade GEAR UP Wyoming (GUWY) participants by administering, overseeing, coordinating, and supporting student programming activities provided by GUWY's partner site staff at all 7 Wyoming community colleges. It is also responsible for leading the planning and implementation of GUWY's summer academy held on the University of Wyoming (UW) campus as well as coordinating and providing advising support to GUWY freshmen attending UW.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Undertake administrative oversight of statewide Student Programming activities in close coordination with community college partner site coordinators, including traveling regularly to partner sites throughout Wyoming.Assist partner site coordinators with service development and student programming strategies to maximize program success, such as family engagement in college planning, identifying and implementing high-impact services, scholarship and FAFSA advising, and ACT test preparation.Assist partner site coordinators to develop and implement compliant grant operations, such as participant recruitment, ensuring effective provision of required and permissible services, and maintaining audit-ready student data and files.Review partner site student programming requests and assist in monitoring sub-grantee budgets.Maintain a working knowledge of federal legislation and regulations governing GEAR UP Wyoming.Plan and execute Camp GEAR UP, a week-long event on the UW campus intended to encourage and support aspirations to attend college among low-income students.Provide academic and financial aid advising to a GEAR UP Wyoming freshman attending UW.Coordinate virtual monthly statewide meetings and semi-annual in-person state meetings.Assist with student database functions and help to plan and prepare the annual performance report for submission to federal funders.Engage in professional development and maintain current knowledge of research related to barriers to higher education associated with socioeconomic disadvantage.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:Maintain knowledge of Wyoming school systems and post-secondary institutions sufficient to support the high school-to-college pipeline.Represent GEAR UP Wyoming and the needs of Wyoming's socioeconomically disadvantaged students on committees and at meetings and events.Assist the Grant Manager with regular administrative duties and undertake special projects, as assigned.Occasional evening/weekend hours and year-round, periodic, in-state travel by car to oversee and assist with student programming events.Out-of-state travel to professional conferences and trainings.

Bachelor's degree in a related fieldExperience:

2 years of work-related experience designing and/or implementing programs for student populations similar to those served by GEAR UP Wyoming.Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements:Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's DegreeStrong attention to detail and capacity to remain organized while managing multiple projects.Familiarity with or understanding of the educational access barriers encountered by low-income student populations.Experience with event planning, management, and implementationStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment with a wide variety of stakeholders.Experience collaborating with high schools to facilitate college access for under-served student populations.Ability to effectively communicate program goals and activities, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of individuals and constituencies.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to make effective decisions and think independently.Experience working with proprietary databases and familiarity analyzing data to track progress toward intended outcomesHigh level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft software, Google applications, and at least a moderate level of proficiency, or the ability to learn, graphic arts and presentation software.
