Journeyman Interior DesignerCherokee Nation Strategic Programs (CNSP) is seeking a skilled Journeyman Interior Designer with extensive experience in facility interior design. This role focuses on leading the interior design of DoD facilities, ensuring compliance with design standards, accessibility guidelines, and DoD criteria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing technical specifications, construction documents, and ensuring adherence to relevant building codes.Compensation & Benefits:Estimated Starting Salary Range for

Senior General Engineer Responsibilities Include:Perform reviews, development, update, and coordination of the UFC)/(FC), UFGS, DAFI/AFI, IFS, AFP, AFH, DAFMANs, playbooks, program guidance/directives, policies, promotion/ implementation, and Task Order design/construction guidance based on Criteria Change Requests (CCRs) submitted through the Criteria Management System (CMS)* Lead the interior design of DoD facilities, ensuring compliance with design standards and accessibility guidelines.* Develop Scope of Work (SOW) and funding documents for interior design projects.* Develop the creation of technical specifications, interior design and construction documents, and operating instructions for Air Force or Space Force installations.* Ensure adherence to building codes and DoD interior design criteria.* Provide expert guidance on the application of building codes, interior design, and accessibility standards.* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that all design work aligns with the mission and goals of the Air Force or Space Force installations.Travel will be required to the various Air Force bases (CONUS & OCONUS)Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Senior General Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:Minimum of 6 years of experience performing facility interior design, with additional experience overseeing the development of SOW and funding documents in support of the DoD Tri-Service Criteria Program.Accredited Associate's degree or higher in an interior design program accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) or equivalent.NCIDQ certification or state licensure, certification, or registration is preferred.Must not be affiliated with a furniture dealership, vendor, or manufacturer.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Extensive knowledge of the application of building codes, interior design, and accessibility standards, as well as DoD criteria governing interior design and construction.Demonstrated interior design expertise for criteria development and review including Engineering Technical Letters; Unified Facilities Criteria; Facilities Criteria; Unified Facilities Guide Specifications; and Department of the Air Force Instructions, Policies, Directives, Pamphlets, Manuals and Handbooks as they relate to interior designDemonstrated expertise with the application of Industry interior design and construction practices and accessibility standards.Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
